ORE DE CALABAZA
So..... lotsa different brews. Favs so far... Deschutes, stone, silver moon, and widmer.
Had Deschutes for the first time recently in California. I really enjoyed the River Ale. Think it's an Oregon brewery but hasn't seen it until Cali
I haven't had the River Ale, but the Inversion IPA is one of my favs. They served a Belgian IPA at the festival. Very tasty.
Deschutes is probably the biggest brewery in Oregon besides Rogue. It's my favorite and it's what we served at our wedding. The inversion IPA is excellent as are most if their beers. The original brewery is in Bend, OR, but there is also an awesome restaurant / brewery in Portland. I actually like Deschutes way better than Rogue because its still reasonably priced and delicious!
I guess I forgot about Widmer and Bridgeport in terms of the biggest oregon breweries. But like I said, Deschutes may be the best if them all.
At a buddy's flat in London; enjoying some lynchburg lemonades and some strongbow. An odd assortment to say the least
London, eh? How are the pubs?
Everything I could have hoped for and more, ate the dickens inn by the tower bridge and it was fantastic, and one called the flag today in watford. Both were great
Redd's Apple Ale.
Pinnacle. The most premium of the shitty vodkas.
Franziskaner pints with my brother.
Nice. One of my favorites back in the day. Cheers
Founders Breakfast Stout I forgot I had in the fridge. Nice little surprise.
Boulevard dubbel and long strange tripel
Angry Orchard Hard Cider
Pretty good stuff
Drinking everything under the sun! Last drink sample Founders Dirty Bastard, now on to the Bells tent for a Roundhouse.
Bells isn't at the Summer Beer Fest this year.
Coors Light
A nice quality Texas beer for a nice quality Texan like myself. Forget about that time my birth certificate said I was born in New York.
15 year old Glenfiddich. Tbh it tastes very similar to the 12.
And I don't see any wines here so ill post...
Popped a Redcap Vineyards Sauvignon blanc from Rutherford, napa. Now on to the Alianza made by one of the best cult wineries in napa, Araujo and the Eisele vineyard. Great stuff if anyone likes big reds that are reminiscing of an old world Bordeaux.
Some $5 red from Trader Joes...
LIKE A BOSS
Perpetual IPA....very good local IPA
Now drinking a Sierra Nevada Ovila Abbey Quad. It's amazing what I find just chilling in the fridge when I look.
Per San Diego Charger Twitter. Torn ACL in practice. Probably out for year...
Keep drinking.
It's an Irish Stout.
followed by a Rubaeus, which is a bit too sweet for my tastes. Probably shouldn't have started with a Dirty Bastard, though.
waiting for a little wolverine - wife was due last sat
I'm on my way to go pick-up Fournette and get him to A2.
15 year old single cask. Smoky and delicious.
Chocolate peanut butter protein shake right now since I just got back from a ride. Then moving onto some New Holland White Hatter.
Chocolate milk is the only way to recover
Markham estate merlot. Very good bottle of wine for a decent ($18-25) price.
Ya I like fruity beer. Come at me
Decided to try some Blackberry Pear Cider Fox Barrel. Pretty damn good.
2nd had a few bud lights.
Ending the night with some Red Stag.
Buckets of my own tears, as I continue to stress over next week's impending bar exam.
Don't worry man, you're going to piss all over that exam.
No point stressing at this point. Have a beer.
As long as you did your prep work over the summer, you'll be fine. You'll be amazed at how many people just don't have a clue. What state? And good luck.
