That tourney run last year was so huge for potentially getting a guy like Booker. Yeah, we've been on him for a long time but last year really legitimizes UM Bball to a lot of people.

like part of his interest is just because we've been recruiting him so long and he'd feel bad if he didn't reciprocate. But what do I know, basketball recruiting is so different from football recruiting

Booker has denied a top 5.  However, I think we can maybe increase our expectations for being in the top five slightly higher based on who else is in the top 7 (e.g. UNC took a player that fits his mold already).

Gotta make sure Drake Harris stays on him throughout the rest of the summer before he goes south again!

I love being in the running for all these big time recruits, I just hope the don't forget what got them here and that's finding the diamonds in the rough and a little development. Again, not saying I hate recruiting 5 stars and one and done or two and done players, but thats not exactly what got us here.

We're at the point where we need a couple one or two and dones to compete on a high level. Our success the past few seasons has really depended on those types (Darius Morris, Trey Burke, Mitch McGary).

Football is big business too, just seems to me that ther are too many "one and done's" in basketball while all these kids put off their education for millions.

players would do more of the same they can't because of the need to be physically able to play in the league. I believe they might have to play a certain number (of years) by NCAA not positive though
