FINALLY! Seriously felt like the longest week ever. Or at least the longest since last week.
Thankfully this week seemed to go fast for me.
You have no idea. I'm in the process of buying my first house and I am ready to just sleep for 20 hours. 5 o'clock cannot get here soon enough.

3.5 years ago, I got married, bought a house, and had a kid all within 5 months. Yes, for all you mathematicians, kind of a shotgun wedding. And yes, all you daytime talkshow hosts, the kid was with the same girl I married.
We bought HUD in a great neighborhood for raising kids. It took a LOT of work, but the sweat equity paid off and we are well above water on the house right now. Good luck, buying the house is the easy part...
I don't mind putting in the work on the house, but I just feel like I'm running in circles trying to get everything coordinated right now.
Wait until it is time to sell that house and buy a new one. You'll have to deal with the BS on both sides of the transaction.

At the moment, I am on an unreliable connection at an auto shop where they are, at this moment, doing the vacuum test on my wife's van's A/C system. Hopefully, it is just a recharge, but as the performance of the unit gradually declined over the course of 3-4 months, I imagine there is a leak. C'est la vie, I guess.
The rest of today will be spent prepping for my kids' birthday party tomorrow - their birthdays are only five weeks apart, so we meet them in the middle and have a joint party. Well, we will do that for as long as they allow us to do it anyway. This might be problematic by the time they reach their teens, if my experience with my sisters is any indication.
Depending on the damage at the shop, it could be anything from Boddington's to whiskey. I will likely know what I'll be drinking inside the next several hours.

We had a Dodge Caravan a couple years ago that had a leak problem with the A/C and they fixed it free because there was some type of recall. Check it out to see if that is the case.
Last weekday of AA Art Fair. So, like the rest of the week, avoiding much of the downtown area (except when I have to walk through it to get to work). Get done with the day and then go grab a beer.
sauna like today...Impossible to do much outside in this heat. I will be drinking a Hefe or two after work, and watching the Open Championship this weekend.
The family is flying in to Houston from Ann Arbor today for 12 days! Over joyed at work, is it 5 yet?

The last few times I've been to Art Fair, my wife and I stroll around for a few hours trying to find something we like before we realize that there's no way in hell that we can afford any of the pieces that catch our eye. Then we just wind up sitting out in the garden area of Dominicks getting drunk on sangria.
Let me get this straight - You got credit for taking the Mrs to art fair, didn't have to shell out anything for "art," and spent the day drinking at Dominicks?

I haven't taken a day off yet this year. THIS IS HAPPENING.
I have taken some days off this year, but very little and not a full week yet. I am on vacation starting at 4:30 PM on August 2, which is a much needed week off from work.
It's very hot here in Cleveland. Also, I just got my electricity bill...it's $245. That kind of ruined my weekend, but I got a $275 bonus yesterday, so at least that will pay for the bill.
I have lived in NE Ohio all my life and never heard of Corky & Lenny's.
Also, word up. I just fouund out that tomorrow I will be on a limo bus to be taken to various destinations. It's a friend's birthday and her husband rented a bad ass limo bus for us. Should be sweet.
Machine Shop. Still my favorite place to see a concert in the area.
