OT : ? Tablet / Nook Users question

I figure some of you tech saavy people would know this

I got a Nook HD+ tablet 9 inch 16 GB, the one thats on sale for 149 bucks now at target and Wal Mart ?

Would a wireless keyboard work with the Nook

 

If so would this keyboard work with it

That one definitely won't work, as it requires a USB input port; the nooks only have USB out. You may have success if you find a bluetooth keyboard; I don't know if they enabled the BT radio on the newer models (the older ones had a radio but it wasn't enabled without rooting the Nook).

That keyboard looks way too big for a tablet, even if it would work.  You should look for something like this.  Sadly, I don't think they make one with a Tigers theme.

I bought a Nook HD+ a few weeks ago and thought I got a good deal for $150.  It's not a top of the line tablet, but the screen is great, and it does the basics well.

Barnes & Noble kind of screwed it up by installing software that slows it down.  If you find yourself getting frustrated with it, you might consider rooting it and installing a custom ROM.  That might sound scary, but it's not super complicated.  If you have any more questions about accessories or anything else, you might want to try this forum instead.

I have had one of the original Nooks since they first came out and love it.  I also have the Nook app for my iPad, and my daughter has a Nook Color.

That being said, make sure you know what you're getting into.  The tablet is a good product and has a lot of nice features, but B&N is exiting the tablet business.  So from a long term support standpoint, I'm not sure what you're getting into.

I'm also not sure what is going to happen with my Nook library (which is pretty extensive).  Knowing the B&N wants to keep its customers, I suspect the libraries will be supported for a long time (they're exiting the hardware part of the business, not the e-book part of the business -- which has been profitable for them).

No judgment either way, I just wanted you to be aware of the facts.
