OT: Post-SharkNado reaction thread/2 Head Shark Open Thread

Submitted by BlueBarron on

By now I'm sure you have all just witnessed the greatest american SyFy classic ever, SharkNado. What are your reactions? Thoughts? I for one think this was the greatest movie ever.

...also what are you drinkin' tonight?

Terrible sci-fi movies are one of my favorite pasttimes. Haven't seen this one yet, but it'll be hard pressed to top Megashark vs Giant Octopus, Megapiranha or Scratch. Just a few of my favs.

The wife and I were staying up to watch all the beautiful awesomeness right up until the scene where the brunette girl gives an account of the motivation for her hatred of sharks. After realizing the horror of losing her grandfather and all his friends to a shark attack when she was 7, and with her being the only survivor, sadly it occurred to us that the drama was overtaking the action. Dissapointed, we headed to bed, hungry for more flying sharks, only to find out this morning that they saved the best for last and that we missed all the chainsaw action.  Fells like I turned the set off just before Henne to Manningham.

Why on EARTH is this subject popular? I did, however, research the movie on IMDb only to see Ian Zeiring in it. I actually know Ian's wife, Erin, as she used to live here in Cleveland. She was dating my wife's brother for a year or so and then moved to California where she met Ian. Erin is such a nice girl.

EDIT: Cool story, bro.  (?)

some serious hops.  Before he goes completely into the sharks mouth, his trajectory is still upward and his feet are already level with the top of the fence.

My favorite part is when Ian Zeiring's character dumped about 1/2 gallon of gas into the pool, threw some matches on it and it exploded.

But I need to ask a stupid question, never having seen nor even heard of this movie before.  Why don't they just wait for the sharks to hit land and, you know, flop around and die?  That's pretty much my survival game plan for this scenario.  I'll hang up and listen.

"If you were a shark and you found yourself flying through the air, wouldn’t you keep biting?"

The quote could have ended here and I would've known all I needed to know about this guy

Ended up watching the end of this in my hotel room last night, I could not believe what I was watching. It was either one of the worst things ever made or the best thing ever.
