Hello, eh: Sam Miletic
Word just got out that Sam Miletic, a presumed 2015 kid, has committed to Michigan
Proud to say I've committed to play hockey at the University of Michigan! #goblue

Per MichiganHockey.net:
The Bloomfield Hills, Michigan native played for Cranbook this past season and had 10 goals and 10 assists in 11 games. ... Russ Bitely ranked Miletic among the ‘B’ players at last summer’s USA Hockey Select 15 Player Development Camp
I forget what exactly A vs B vs C indicates but I think it generally means the guy is expected to be a NHL pick at this point. Seems like a really solid pick up to go with Brendan Warren and Kyle Connor (who just got picked for a USA U-18 tournament team) The 2015 hockey class is shaping up to be very very good at this point.
Edit: Oops, forgot Nick Boka for 2015 too. He is also projected to be a 'B' player and is on the US Under-17s. Go Blue
20 points in eleven games?
At a perennial in state power program?
I'll take it.
No football? Don't care. Next...
You need to be assimilated.
A guy told me one time "This is a Michigan blog" not just a "Michigan football blog". Do you recall who that guy might've been?
The rules of the blog really aren't that tough to grasp. Points return when the CMU game kicks off.
That highway by your house? Go play in it.
So what is this place? It's a somewhat comprehensive Michigan sports blog that promises to cover football, hockey, basketball, baseball, and all other Michigan sports in various levels of detail. These levels are:
football: exhaustive, extreme, and debilitating
hockey: considerable
Emphasis mine.
Two years until he gets to Ann Arbor, and he's a London draft pick. Let the waiting game begin.
Do you know of anywhere that explains what the A/B/C list indicates? I can't find a firm explanation, though I've always thought A meant 1st-2nd round projection, B 3rd-5th and C 6th-7th or something of that nature
HF has a grading scale here, http://www.hockeysfuture.com/playerprojections/
I'm not sure what scale the scout used to grade this player. I'm not familiar with his work and how he rates players.
That's a different system. Central scouting uses the A, B, and C grades, which generally mean something like this:
A= potential 1st rounder
B= potential 2nd or 3rd rounder
C= potential 4th-6th rounder
I don't usually reference with Central Scouting. That would make more sense.
Yes, I have a hard time getting excited about Hockey commits that have the opportunity to go to the OHL. I have been hurt too many times. Although, his not being a goalie gives more hope.
Go Blue!
But I know something about you! You went to Cranbrook, that's a private school! What's the matter Doc? You embarrassed? This guys a gangsta? His real name's Clarence. And Clarence parents have a real good marriage.
/boom
/8-mile'd!
Everybody in the 3-1-3.........
Here's hoping he duplicates what Andrew Miller did for Yale.
I play with Sam on Wednesdays during a fast-paced drop-in at Cranbrook. He's a good player...both him and his friend, Chris Brown (son of former Wing, Doug). I've done some skating technique work with them over the past couple of years and Michigan is definitely pleased with this commitment. Congrats to Sam. And on a side note, my personal preference would be for Chris to join him with this class. Not sure if he holds an offer, but he should. Can't stop the kid from putting the puck in the net. As always, Go Blue!
