NBA Draft Open Thread (Not OT - Yay!)
I'm kind of not so secretly hoping for a Michigan double dip draft for the Pistons. Both guys probably won't fall to those spots though.
I feel like all of the talk about Trey slipping to 14 or whatever is just a bunch of smoke from some team (maybe even the Pistons) hoping to poison the well on him a little bit so he falls a few extra spots.

In a sane and rational world there is no way he falls to 8, but the NBA operates on an entirely different plane of existence.
There is no way the Pelicans should pass up on him. He would be perfect to run pick and rolls with Brow for the next 15 years, and could revitalize Eric Gordon's career.
The Kings have been parading out a myriad of point guard-like substances for the past few seasons with no real point guard. If they want DeMarcus Cousins to realize his ridiculous potential they need someone who can get him the ball in his spots.
I'm banking on both of those teams continuing to be ridiculously stupid though.

I think Mgrowold had said it in the earlier thread, but is Cleveland seriously considering Alex Len with the 1st pick?? They need a wing like Porter, or a more athletic rim protector in Noel (assuming he'll be healthy enough).

Burke at #8...then trade their two 2nd round picks to get into the bottom of the First Round to get Tim Hardaway, Jr. BOOM! HOMERED!
Burke to New Orleans and Hardaway Jr. to Indiana is what I am hoping for. The Pelicans need a PG that isn't Vasquez or Rivers and the Pacers need a SG to go along with Lance Stephenson. Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon would allow Burke to be the third scorer and when worst comes to worst he can just throw it up to Davis. The Pacers would provide Hardaway some solid minutes off the bench on championship contender.

It's really not that bad. No safe bets high in this draft. I would have gone with Porter maybe or McLemore but I'm not sure about Noel.
Noel could fall quite a ways here.
