Although the role that introduced James Gandolfini to wide movie audiences was Virgil in "True Romance", as well as roles in movies like "Get Shorty" and "Crimson Tide", he is inextricably tied to one of the most successful and talked about series in the last 20 years if not ever. He really was very talented.

Very tragic news - 51 is far too young. His daughter was only born last October too. Condolences to his family and friends.

Gandolfini was a Rutgers alum and supporter of the football program going so far as to make several commercials.  Very sad news.  He will be missed.

I'm so broken hearted, I loved his acting and I loved him in the role of Tony Soprano, so sad right now. I guess he was working on a new HBO series too. he wil be missed.

Well, I know what I'll be watching this weekend. I know that it seems cliche to say The Sopranos was the best show of all time (not trying to start a debate), but I'll say it was by far my favorite. Very sad. I'm actually surprised he was only 51. Also, I hate to hear that he has a young daughter. One of my biggest fears is dying and my kids not being old enough to remember me. Just tragic.

"All due respect, you have no idea what its like to be number one.  Every decision you make make effects every facet of every other f***ing thing.  Its too much to deal with it, almost.  And in the end, you're completely alone to deal with it all."

Strange as it sounds, it learned more about managing people (good and bad) by watching Tony Soprano.  I'm very sad right now.
