Very sad, not even that old.
neg me for not making light of a guy dying. Nice job, blog.
People get offended way too easily...
really offended, I just thought the comment was slightly disrespectful - that's all.
Rest in peace, Paesan.
Huh??
Swimming with the fishes...way too soon. RIP
But yes, he was.
Maybe you were confused with Shane Falco, former Buckeye movie QB.
I really need to watch the Sopranos. RIP
I kid, too young.
51 is far too young. Very sad.
Also, from the pilot- "Carmela, my mother is here". Nothing special on its own but he delivered the hell out of that line. Cracks me up every time.
He was very good in The Man who wasn't There as well.
We're doing Sopranos Quotes?
"Check it out: the 'Before'....and the waaay Before..."
RIP James, what a damn shame.
Although the role that introduced James Gandolfini to wide movie audiences was Virgil in "True Romance", as well as roles in movies like "Get Shorty" and "Crimson Tide", he is inextricably tied to one of the most successful and talked about series in the last 20 years if not ever. He really was very talented.
Very tragic news - 51 is far too young. His daughter was only born last October too. Condolences to his family and friends.
He was also very good in The Last Castle with Robert Reford and a few other people. Very good movie IMO.
While he is and always will be Tony Soprano, I'll never forget the fight scene when Virgil beats the crap out of Patricia Arquette in True Romance. One of the most brutal fight scenes ever made. Sad to see such talent go so soon.
to give him one good shot was so good-humored, and yet so ill-fated. That scene should be played in the locker room of every underdog getting beat at halftime. Belief in yourself/desperation and one well-placed shot can turn the tide.
and he did so much for Manic depression and his hbo documentary on PTS was fantastic. From what I heard he was a very nice man too. RIP.
Gandolfini was a Rutgers alum and supporter of the football program going so far as to make several commercials. Very sad news. He will be missed.
I'm so broken hearted, I loved his acting and I loved him in the role of Tony Soprano, so sad right now. I guess he was working on a new HBO series too. he wil be missed.
such a great talent, truly one of the best acting jobs of any TV series playing Tony Soprano. I don't know what it was but I always loved when he would say "Gabagoo"
It was capicola - a thinly-sliced spicy ham.
"All due respect, you have no idea what its like to be number one. Every decision you make make effects every facet of every other f***ing thing. Its too much to deal with it, almost. And in the end, you're completely alone to deal with it all."
Strange as it sounds, it learned more about managing people (good and bad) by watching Tony Soprano. I'm very sad right now.
good for him...go out on top...quick death
