High Noon with Rich Rodriguez and the Arizona Football Staff
I'm not entirely sure what to think of this promotional Youtube video for Arizona football, but I think it is hilarious.

I'd say oregon's gimmicky offense has done them well, a national title appearance, a few rose bowl's and other BCS bowls. That's probably not the best comparison.
I agree.
I also don't think Arizona will ever approach what Oregon has accomplished, but you're right. It's not fair to call Oregon's offense a gimmick anymore. It's just plain a really good college football offense.
helped Oregon kick our arse 31-7 in The Big House in 2007 as well.
You cannot use this video to call Arizona inauthentic, in my opinion (see my post above). This video is a homage to Tucson tradition, where the university is located. Yes, it is cheesy as hell, and Arizona will never have the tradition that Michigan does.
I'll say this.....could have used some highlights from their past season to help the video. Seems like they could have let me know it was a football promo video.
Either way, I hop ethe best for RR and hope to see him in the Rose Bowl one day (to watch Mattison completely eat it alive)
That video is plenty cheesy and I'd cringe if Michigan ever put out anything like it. I have to agree that it's cheesy in a RichRod sort of way. Cultural fit, etc.
Related: I'm about halfway through Three 'n Out (which, for some reason, only recently found its way to my reading list). If 3% of what Bacon reported there is true, responsibility for the '08 to '10 debacle was shared. It wasn't entirely RichRod's fault. That idea would be a hard sell for some of the simple-minded posters here.
I'd trade Borges for Calvin Magee.....
Still not over it......
Not bad. Rich Rod always has to take center stage and be the 'star'....lol... well some programs need to hitch their wagon to a "star" coach.
Glad Michigan is not one of them.
BTW Max Scherzer is 10-0
It bothers me not because it's cheesy. In fact, I thought it was generally good natured and fun (if not a little too long). What bothers me is the single minded attention on the coaches. RR seems to demand credit and delegate blame (talking about not having good players, etc.); Hoke does exactly the opposite (it's always about how the players succeeded after a win and how the coaches failed after a loss). That's why I think none of us can imagine Hoke doing a bit like this... ok maybe the cigar and sherriffs badge have something to do with it too.
agrees to a video like this one is the same reason he was never a good fit at Michigan.
I just finished Three and Out for the second time. Interesting to reflect sometimes...
It is clear in the book RR thinks of himself as a "master motivator" and for the most part, he's pretty darn good at it. This, however... not so much.
[Edit: Changed Subject line]
It could have been a music video to a Pop Evil original.
The Gang that Couldn't Shoot Straight.
