High Noon with Rich Rodriguez and the Arizona Football Staff
I'm not entirely sure what to think of this promotional Youtube video for Arizona football, but I think it is hilarious.

This will end well...
If they were sitting at the bar enjoying Mrs Ritas famous nacho dip the video would have been perfect.
Somehow I knew it would have Ro-tel and Velveeta.
It's like finding out about Santa all over again.
What...what about Santa?
I won't call it hilarious, but I did think it was creative and funny. Don't want Hoke and Co. doing something like this, but then again UM's football program is not UA's football program.
I agree that the video itself is not intrinsically hilarious. However, the fact that Arizona chose to do a video like this and the RichRod and his staff agreed to do it is hilarious.
I also wouldn't want Hoke do do anything like this. More to the point, there is no way in he/they ever would. It may be a gimmick that works for Arizona. I have no idea.
That's kind of how I look at it. I mean, it's Arizona football. Not exactly the bastion of tradition and a ravenous football fan base. Stuff like this is OK for them to drum up some sort of publicity for the program. What do they have to lose?
The fact that he made this video just proves how much he did not fit in here. The guy just can't stop being ridiculous.
I don't know, man, those things seem to pretty naturally slot into a hierarchy of ridiculousness, to me.
Your theory seems to be "anything outside of football competition that creates buzz for a football program is inherently ridiculous, and equally ridiculous to any other such instances." Which is pretty lazy, intellectually.
As is "any reaction is a successful one." Tommy Tuberville walking out on a check that was coming from a recruiting dinner sure created some buzz, but I'm not sure Cincinnati would agree with you that it was "successful."
HARD EDGE!!!
On a quest for the rose, so you just smoke, drink and play poker? Occasionally throwing someone out the front doors....I wonder how much money was spent on that hot garbage
probably not much. It's the old Tucson studios and only the coaching staff in the video
that movie looks awesome!
Continuing to change the game, Until only offense remains.
I am so glad that Michigan doesn't need to stoop to such things though. Nobody let Dave Brandon see this.
This is much better than his Tommy Bahama look.
He looks like a cool customer right here ^^. I picture him sweaty and frazzled while begging the townspeople to form a posse.
He really does look the part of a world weary sheriff. I would take any excuse to be able to smoke a cigar and play some cards on the job.
Hopefully the old Northern Competent Defense Railroad gets built through there soon.
I am not sure what to say. I know that poor RR didn't have a say in putting this together, but could you imagine a world in which Hoke and Mattison ever agree to be in something like this?
I can't imagine a world where Hoke wouldn't do whatever the AD/administration asks him to do, since it's probably in his contract. While DB would never have his coaches smoking cigars, I can imagine him coming up with something equally tacky, and forcing the coaching staff to go along.
So fergodsakes don't let Brandon see it!
Considering it had a December release date and got bumped by Universal (Rita Rodriguez was totally not content with the original ending), I think they totally saved the project here. Solid stuff all around, though I think some of the subject matter makes an "A" (for all Arizona fans) rating slightly inappropriate. Not suitable for Wildcats under 16. Or any. Ever.
There is a reason why they disabled the comments on the Youtube video.
When can I get my Jeff Casteel action figure?
Fuck I miss RichRod sometimes.
Me too!
Watching this video would not be one of those times however......
I tried to embed and failed. That being said, THEY STOLE OUR VIDEO!!!!
I take comfort in the fact that Tech's is way better, even with Tuberville in it. Guns Up.

Next to TT's film, RR looks like a pussy again.
We do what we can, whether it's messing someone's title hopes/perfect season, or just making better western themed videos, we're always waiting to drop from the rafters, ruin someone's day, and then fade into the shadows again.
It's the Texas Tech way. I'm okay with it.
On the other hand, I'm left without much to say after watching that.
Except, this is so not Hoke, Mattison, Borges. Also, for that matter, not Urban Meyer. There are some things that just shouldn't be done.
USC, Alabama, LSU, Texas, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, or any other program with tradition on their side.
Arizona has been an after thought for quite a few years. I'm not seeing why it's all that big of a deal when put in that perspective.
Ummm...have you not seen the Notre Dame Freakbass video? That thing's way worse.
It kinda dragged, and it needed more of a story. If they had started it with gunslingers representing the other PAC-12 schools kicking him out of the bar, then rounding up his coaching posse to come back and stand off against them, with some sort of to be continued this fall thing, it might have been more entertaining. Something to signify how they're going to kick ass and take names, rather than just standing around in a bar, and going into cool poses. (Is there a reason they're throwing each other out of bars and rolling them down the bar?)
