Ive never been to Minnesota, I have no strong feelings towards them positive or negative, but I now want to purchase tickets to 1998 football games. Bring these back!

"Regrettably, this video doesn't include the ad for the Iowa game, which was also a Gopher home game that year. (As for the game itself... we don't want to talk about it. Really, we don't. Trust me.) At least we'll always have the angry gopher."

Now that they mention it, it would have been interesting to see how a Golden Gopher would have handled a Hawkeye - I was curious as to where the rest were myself. I assume that it would have been stalking a wandering, flightless (due to injury) Hawkeye, having been separated from the end zone by Kyle McCann's arm.

In 1998, think the Hawkeyes got trounced in that game to the tune of 49-7, if memory serves. It would have been 49-0 if Robbie Crockett hadn't accidentally found the end zone in the final minute of play too.

Thanks for sharing these - very entertaining.

Sure the white guy is the slow one that gets picked off.  Not sure who let the prefered walk on long snapper get his hands on the #1 jersey, can we blame RR?

I lost it when the gopher (fuzzy one) rears up and snorts like a wild hog. So clearly not what a gopher sounds like but it just looks and souds hilarious.

Those commericals are great.  It's pretty amazing how bad Minnesota has been against the Big Ten historically.

Note: despite a .566 win percentage against Nebraska, they've lost 16 straight to the Corn Huskers.

Also, both Fritz Crisler and Lou Holtz coached there briefly before moving on to better things.
