Kirk Cousins releasing a book...no joke
Kirk Cousins wrote a book coming out this summer. I can't stop from laughing right now. This is going to be an awesome read.

man you really post a lot of sparty related threads
Good for him. Seemed like a smart enough fella.
That said, I have less than zero interest in ever reading that thing.
Three-time team captain, Kirk Cousins is currently considered one of the most successful quarterbacks in Michigan State University history...
He's a career backup and never set foot in the Rose Bowl. Low standards!
Actually he has most of their records at QB, and being a three time captain really speaks to his character and the respect he earned from his teammates considering he hadn't even started a game and was elected captain.
Kirk? We know it's you.
That's kind of the point though. He's their best QB ever just eclipsing the great Jeff Smoker...and who could forget the gunslinger Bill Burke!
But no one is saying he's the best QB ever. Just that he's one of the best at MSU.
He's 3-0 against us, and played well in those games.
He's the best quarterback they've ever had, and that is one spot where they actually have had talent(Stanton, Smoker, etc). His 4 years at MSU were their most successful since...what, the 60's? I think they're going to have a tough time getting to 8 wins without him for the next few years.
I always thought Smoker is the all time best, at least his name wins all!
All time best?
Well, what do you think made him so good?
Earl Morrall is the best MSU QB ever. He led State to a Rose Bowl victory in 1956, was a first round NFL selection, and made two pro bowl appearances.
and was a key member of the undefeated '72 Dolphins team.
I don't see what's so funny about this.
Well, in all fairness, the OP said "no joke."
Good for him. If I can find a free copy I will probably read it.
I am going to skip to the chapter entitled "Sitting on couches gets you what you want."
You know who else wrote a book? Hitler.
You know the more I read about that guy the less I like him.
Kirk Cousins = Hitler, obviously. Case closed.
Didn't Snooki write a book, too? Maybe we are the idiots for NOT writing a book....
I'd be curious to check it out. Cousins seems like a smart enough guy and he's from West Michigan. Not sure why you think it's such a big deal.
I actually like the guy. He and I graduated from the same high school and he's an amazing person. He is one of the nicest guys I know and he's a man of great character. Putting aside my Michigan fandom I can really appreciate what Kirk has done being a guy that wasn't hardly recruited and offered a late scholarship by Dantonio, but he turned himself into a solid NFL player.
It's just a shame that you're against him.
Yeah, he was always a religious guy. He can be MSU's Tebow.
Walking The Streets by Kirk Cousins. Illustrated by Mark Dantonio
It's called: Walking the Streets of Hell (east Lansing)
...where it is so hot that couches spontaneously combust.
A break he is just explaining how his faith has helped shape him into the Godly person he is today
As a former captain of the MSU footbal team and an earnestly religious person I do find myself curious as to his take on the morality of late hits, attempts at intentional injury, and the overall ethics of "60 minutes of unnecessary roughness".
Or does this all get brushed aside with the justification that Mike Hart hurt Sparty's collective feelings 6 years ago?
The book will be on the Clearance shelf by the second day. Only the Sparties will buy it because he's not influential to anyone else.
That's not true, and even if it was true, there are a lot of Sparties out there.
If some publisher wanted to pay me to write a book, I would in a hearbeat. Seeing as I have no real wisdom to share and my plain, insignificant life is barely a fraction as exciting as Kork Coupons' life has been, I see nothing odd about him writing one himself. I have no interest in reading a book by a Sparty in the least, but more power to him, I guess.
Agreed, I've got no problem with him writing a book about himself...just seems like odd timing. Almost like he doesn't think his Pro career will take off so he's striking while the iron is hot.
Maybe I'm just over thinking it.
For the record, Bob and Brian Griese released a book in 2000. It's almost like Brian didn't think his pro career would take off, so he struck while the iron was hot.
/facetious
All 12 of the first printing will be released straight to landfill.
And how many books have you written big boy?
Not sure how that's a relevant question, however.
POSTER INSIDE!!!!!
good for him and all, but how many Tim Tebows do we need?
In fairness to Cousins, when I think of game changers, he is pretty much the first quarterback that comes to mind.
Meh, while I don't like him, I can respect the guy. The only knock on him as far as writing this book is that a lot of people don't really know who he is. Yes, he's a high character guy, and I'm sure it'll be a good read, but that doesn't mean squat if no one knows who you are. You're a former MSU QB and you're RGIII's backup. In my opinion, that doesn't scream "buy me!"
...to try and find anything and everything you can to ridicule Sparty? There is enough that let's stick to the more obvious targets.
That said, I couldn't think of a less appealing target than Cousins who from what I can tell is truly a standup guy, went from a 2 or 3 star prospect to a 4th round pick, was 4-0 against UM, and looked pretty good in relief of RGIII last year (most likely leading to a Matt Flynn/Scott Mitchell type contract a few years from now).
Lets get back to the inferior academics, the couch burning, "staee", the blunt smoking rappers, etc.....
if there are coupons in the back.
Holy fuck was that entire possession started on a blow offsides?!?!
Wrong thread derp.
Is it? Is it really?
Denard wrote a book the bucknuts and sparty's would be all over making fun of it.
I say who cares, backup QB's write books when they know they'll have no NFL career.
Let's at least pretend we don't stoop to their level.
I don't see why this is so funny. He seems like a good guy.
