OT: Champions League Final - Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich
I predict 3-2 to Bayern. Bayern's run seems unstoppable, but these teams have played each other 3 times this year, with 2 draws and the only win coming by 1 goal. I forsee a close game, albeit with some fireworks (maybe wishful thinking on my part, it's the CL final so I really just want to a good game).
Although as for who I'm rooting for, it's gotta be Dortmund. Not only do I hate Bayern for their tradition of buying their success and their spoiled American bandwagon wans, but as a Tottenham fan I'm still pretty upset about last year.
I was so pissed that Bayern blew that game last year, but let's face it as a Spurs fans, did we really expect anything else to happen?
I'm like you in that any team with bandwagon fans is the one I root against int the Champs league final. It's kind of like the horrifying number of ManU and Barca fans that pooped up in the recent years. Plus their main color is red and as good Michigan fans we should always be skeptical of those teams.
Dortmund without Gotze ? It's done, the Bayer in unstoppable.
But I took Bayern Munich in Streak for the Cash and have a 8-gamer on the line...I chose them because I once visited the Munich Beer Gardens and it was glorious.
Fisticuffs (low-grade) between German fans, broken up by about six British cops.

Looks like Dortmund already won the marketing battle
England gets too much credit for "inventing" soccer. The sport has existed for untold centuries. No one really knows where the sport originated - there is historical evidence of kick-the-ball-into-a-goal sports being played all over the world. All the Brits really did was decide that one particular set of rules was the official one.
They play a high flying style and have dynamic playmakers as well. I think BvB has a shot at this, can't wait to cheer for them.
Bayern have been so impressive. Ran roughshot over the Italian and Spanish champions, not to mention Arsenal. Though I did see some stats regarding Dortmund and what occured when they last won the Cup in '97.
I came here when I realized it was Gus Johnson on the call. Can't they just buy the BBC feed instead of trying to train up clowns who really don't know what they are talking about?

Get used to it, he will be doing world cup too.
p.s. huge Gus fan for basketball and football. Just would prefer English announcers for futbol.
Cliched as it is, the consensus Best-Team-In-The-World and European-Buffalo-Bills have to be a lot tighter early than the underdogs
Gooooooooaaaaaaallllllll
Me: Robben is going to screw this one up agai... oh.
What do you mean? As far as I can tell, he's been everywhere today and played a hell of a match.
HE has been quite good but there have been several oppotunities where he could have scored and didn't. Not really his fault, just tremendous saves.
Also he only uses his right foot to get off the bus, whenever he's running to his right side he tries to stop and turn, he missed a couple of shots because he wasn't comfortable kicking with his right leg.
Didn't miss that one.
With his left foot ... ha! jk
BVB scores on a penalty!
Getting interesting, very good pace right now
I'm starting to enjoy Gus Johnson doing these games. He has gotten a lot better than when he started.
Air of inevitability for Bayern now, but certainly can change in an instant on a counter-attack
And yes, like Brad Friedel's accent, I talk like I'm British when discussing soccer
Brad is the Madonna of American GKing
I have to respect him as an anouncer though after he took missing the CL like a man while anouncing last year's final.
This has been agood game so far
Goalies have been incredible this game.
Dutchman!
Ugh
BvB :(
That goal was even more impressive in slow motion, wow
What a game, I was really hoping it would go to extra time just because it was so entertaining.
That play by Subotic to save a goal may have been the best defensive play I've ever seen.
Cheers to Bayern, though I could never root for them against any German squad.
I'd like to see Ribery spend 2 minutes on the ice amongst NHLers. What a flopping pansy.
It's really too bad for the United States that he didn't choose to play for us internationally, even after playing U17s and U20s. Would be amazing to have him anchoring the defense for the 'Nats in the next World Cup.
Why is Jupp Heynckes being fired again? Errr... whatever they call it when rich people get fired: asked to resign.
They need young blood. Winning with the worlds best squad by 25 points over the second place team isn't enough. Next year they'll win by 50!
The good news: You win the Champion's League. The bad news? Robben resolves to now be more "Robben" than ever. Phyrric Victory.
Seriously, though, dominant all season. Well done. Welcome to the 5x Club!
Guess they can't lose them all....
¡Visca Barça!
