all points, Asia, Carribean, winter in Mexico, travel a lot in S. America, there is only one city in OH I've ever been to and that is out of necessity and that city is Colombo, of course.  I've really seen no need to visit for any other reason, and perhaps that's why the residents act as they do. They're stuck!!!!!

Can't post yet but someone else please feel free to make it a topic.  Tickets went on sale today for UM vs Stanford basketball at the Brooklyn Hoops Holiday Invitational.  Anyone who wants them can use presale code WOLVERINES in the Michigan presale box.  They were pretty expensive but for those in the NY area enjoy.  Search for that event on Ticketmaster and you're golden.

OSU has four of the top 7 and 5 of the top 10 in Ohio. They lead of are in the leading group for the other 3 out of the top 7, didn't offer 1 of the top 10 (Watkins, Michigan didn't offer either, went to NW), and only lost Ferns to Michigan. Whereas Michigan offered at least 4 out of the 9 Michigan didn't get in the top 10. So yeah.

Yeah, the author mentions Illinois like they're a bunch of old salts, but the Illini cut down on their swear total with that whole "Muck Fichigan" thing they've got going on with the T-shirts & what not. Plus Northwestern fans just don't care.

Maybe this helps justify the conference expansion - to give Ohio State a better feeling of fitting in:

He expected potty mouths to come from the East Coast, but those $#@%s were no match for Ohio’s tongues of fury. Maryland and New Jersey were the runners-up, followed by Louisiana and Illinois.

[Edit - just saw Dutch Ferbert made essentially the same point above. Props.]

The full results are here in their blog - (HERE)

The study also looked at the most curteous and least curteous states, and indeed, Ohio again ranks among the bottom five in courtesy as well.

No specific rankings are given for the state of Michigan, but according to the graphics, we are "occasionally profane" and "usually courteous".

Louisiana was ranked in the top 5 for cussing and courtesy. I guess they count "Thanks Fucker" for both polls.

Having lived in some of these states on this poll, it truly is ridiculous. Arizona is the rudest state I ever lived in and it ranked in the top 5 for most courteous

Down in Ohio, they raise their kids to swear at non-OSU people.  Kids learn by example.  They watch their parents spit and swear at Michigan fans/players/alums and replicate the same behavior when they become adults.  Kind of a nice legacy to pass on, eh?

The few, the proud, the strong...the Michigan fans in Ohio.

Actually, there's more than a few. But sometimes it seems as though most are in hiding. We didn't see too many 'round these parts during the Tressel era. Late November 2003 was like Christmas + New Year's Day + Your Birthday + [insert holiday here].
