He should have one written.  Ace picked Michigan on the "crystal ball" thing on 247sports.

Also the CEO of 247sports has predicted Michigan for Malik McDowell and Jabrill Peppers.

Shannon Terry Shannon Terry CEO 247Sports Predicted: Michigan MICH 5/15/13 11:38AM

That has to be a good thing right??

This seems like a great and horrible spot at the same time for us. Logically, from everything we have heard the past two months, there is no way he chooses any school other than UM. However, as recruiting goes, you just never know. I cannot fathom what will happen if he chooses to go elsewhere, but I can imagine the euphoria that will ensue if he chooses the good guys.

C'mon, it's a guarantee that whenever a high-profile recruit chooses another school over UM that at least one jackass on MGoBlog flames the kid, and MLive is radioactive. A portion of every fanbase is subhuman; we just hope/assume that our subhuman portion is smaller than other schools. It's still there, though, lurking.

But the OP did not mean "UM fans" gave crap to Kyron Watson, I haven't seen anything and I don't think Watson is being attacked at all. He meant, and typed Wiggins, meaning Andrew Wiggins, the #1 basketball player in the country, who chose KU yesterday, referencing the fact that he's been harassed by other fanbases.

will pull out all the stops to get him down south. Even though the signs seem to point to Michigan right now, nothing would surprise me. I've been watching recruiting too long to assume anything.

Seeing Peppers end up at Alabama or LSU or Stanford would be disappointing enough, but if he chose Rutgers over Michigan the meltdown around here would be entertaining as hell, in a masochistic sort of way.

Derrick Green, Drake Harris, now this (presumably)! I can't help but to be reminded of Dee Hart and Sammy Watkins slipping through RR's hands. While it would be nice to have Laquon Treadwell as a target this fall, Brady continues to amaze me in selling the family culture and tradition of excellence and closing out these recruits.

Peppers commit on 26th tells the Nation we are not playing nice in the sandbox anymore!!!!

I think his references to Charles Woodson is an indicator...you want to beat Charles you need to do it with the same helmet and same turf son!!!

Championships here we come!

Not trying to get begged here but count me as fairly nervous. All signs point to yes, but we are set up for a complete board (and in my case personal) meltdown if this doesn't go our way... All of my fingers will be crossed until he decides

Will just be completely heart broken.  I reserve meltdowns for when things shittier than expected or mean outcome occur.  (Appy State being the most obvious)

Heart breaks occur when awesome thing almost happen, but I would be being greedy to expect them to happen. (Make Final Four but lose in championship game)

Peppers and Hand to me would make us legitimate national championship contenders over the next few years.  They are game changers at positions where the SEC has seperated themselves from the rest of the country, DB and D-line.  Add them to our amazin O-line hauls and 4 star recruiting across the board and this reads like the most complete 3 year recruiting haul in the country outside of Tuscaloosa.  OSU is really, really good too, but have that glaring hole at O-line.

With Peppers and Hand I believe we will have national title level caliber and depth.  Without them I think we are Big Ten Title caliber, but not ESS EEE SEE

Genuinely has me worried. Rarely do these overwhelming positive outlooks on a recruit work out. haha. Some do but not enough to make me comfortable until it happens.

and I won't count on it until he makes the announcement, but it just seems like all signs are pointing to us right now. Think of Green, where he had taken tons of visits here, and hadn't really been focusing on other places. This feels similar. Peppers has been here multiple times, and can't even make it out to his presumed 2 (Stanford) to visit before he decides? With a second visit to a program that is close to him, but destroyed for the forseeable future (PSU)? And maybe casual interest in an SEC school that really has very few of the qualities that the other schools have (such as academics)? It would just feel surprising if he picked someplace else at this point, though stranger things have happened. Bottom line: It would be absolutely amazing if he picked us, and so people are excited. If he doesn't, oh well, we'll be fine.

This is like the fourth time I've heard you say this.  Being different doesn't mean you're just out to troll people and do the opposite of what everyone thinks.  If that were really true, he wouldn't be going to another school to play football, he weould be moving to Norway to become an olympic ski jumper.  I think you're just calling this kid a troll.  While it may be true, there is just zero evidence for this at this point.

Well noticed but I keep saying it because I not only know people like him but I am like him based on his own words. I've always said that if I were ever a major college recruit (right? haha) that I would go to Michigan or somewhere completely random. I'd absolutely troll all the people like us that use this site, pay sites and generally hang their happiness on my every action. I wouldn't necessarily do it just to troll as I'd likely choose an underdog school do to my nature but I take pleasure in surprising people and doing the unexpected. In a few interviews he has essentially said as much about himself as far as the last part. Enough to completely shock people and pick a Rutgers, nuked PSU or a Vandy type over Michigan? Given all signs? I won't go that far and didn't, Mr. Grumpsauce. However, this kid just gives off a vibe that it isn't impossible for most of this board to be all "WTF?!?" on the 26th. That's all.

overthinking, and fear. Honestly though, to think that not only another team has passed us without a visit, but passed us enough to know he wants to go there? I mean i think if another team had been added to the frey do you really need to commit now? i mean he wouldnt want to take a first visit there? or a second visit here? Im feeling good!

I didn't see it in the thread, but 247Sports had a little bit about the rationale behind setting the date as he did (HERE).

According to his coach, he simply doesn't want his choice to be a distraction going into their summer practices and then into his senior year. In all the material that we've posted here, you get the sense that he's a very driven, focused kid, so that makes complete sense really.

Peppers would be a phenomenal get, of course, and for anyone who hasn't seen his highlight reel (that would be very few here, I am sure), it is highly recommended.
