Post says it all. Hopefully Stanford will be a better W on our schedule than West Virginia was last year.

Can't take credit for this one tho. Props goes to si_daddy for posting

I can't start my own thread, but this is basketball related. I came across this in an Mlive article:

Tickets for Michigan's matchup against Stanford will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, May 17. They can be purchased through Ticketmaster at www.barclayscenter.com or,www.ticketmaster.com or by phone at 800-745-3000

Thought it would be of interest. I know I'm going.

Meh, they won the NIT in 2012 (I think), and followed that up last year with a 2nd round exit in the NIT, a 18-14 (9-9) regular season record and dismantling of a top 10 Oregon team (at the time) as their best win.  Since they're only losing 3 points/game production to graduation, I assume they can only get better.  So, I wouldn't say stinky (but I wouldn't say great either), as there's a decent possiblilty this is a NCAA tourney bound team.  Regardless, it's better than the WVU team we played in Brooklyn last that finished below .500.  Should definitely be a game we should win against a RPI top 100 team at the least.

Yes. Dawkins stinnnnks.

Stanford had a great run for more than a decade between Mike Montgomery and Trent Johnson; with admissions getting easier at the end of Johnson's tenure, combined with the general success of the program, you'd imagine it would be clear skies ahead but no.

Anyway, this is probably tangential for your purposes. Point is, with Dawkins at the helm, a crater season is entirely possible. I don't see the team finishing higher than 6th in the Pac-12. Is that better than a .500 Big East team? Probably, I guess. *weeps in beer*.

Amex presale starts tomorrow at 10am, as well.

Anyone know whether the Alumni Association has a section?  If so, please let the board know where it is.  Really looking forward to this as last year was a blast.

The game is on December 21st, part of a tripleheader with LIU-Brooklyn v Temple and Manhattan v Buffalo, for those that don't want to take the time to click on the link.  Time of games not announced yet.

through the alumni association went on sale in October, IIRC.

They were 20 bucks for the seats in the 200 level.

I'd wait for the alumni association to make tix available instead of buying through ticketmaster.

A few of you have asked about the alumni sections, ticket sale timing etc - last year the ticketmaster sale for individual tickets began well before group sales ... this is the case again this year.  The U-M Alumni Club of NY will plan once again help in arranging block sections for alums, and given the size of the group last year our ticket prices were significantly better price points than individual sales.  However, it may be a couple of months before they are available.
