I didn't find these quotes to be terrible. I think a coach can discuss penalties without actually "whining", and I don't find these comments, at least, to be that bad. I took the last quote, though, about not blaming the loss on calls, to be honest about his team's play, not to be a cover-your-ass.

But I wouldn't be surprised if I watched the actual interview/presser and got the totally different opinion, i.e. he was whining terribly. I just don't see it in this news article.

He's bitching. He can be upset about the calls, but he's being a bitch about it, but then goes ahead and says that he isn't whining. Then what was he doing? He's ridiculous.

Funny that this is the same guy that last year claimed that "Michigan is full of excuses"....

sounds like he has even more excuses for his poor coaching and their loss

Weis is sending a horrible message to his team here. The message SHOULD be: "you aren't going to win many road games where you give up 38 points".

Whether or not he's "whining", per se, it's going to pull his players focus away from the things they could have done better and onto something they can't control (the officiating). That's just poor coaching.

Was at the game and yet to see the tape but I thought ND neutralized Michigan's front four by holding most of the game. I know it's cliched but there was a couple of really bad ones on Graham that didn't get called.

Cap'n Buttfront probably won't end up at a Big Ten school next year... He won't have to worry at all about conference officials when he's the Tight Ends coach for Kansas City next year.

I'll tell you one thing-- somebody needs to start sending "Notre Dame is the job from hell, don't be a fool" emails to Brian Kelly, and fast.
