OT: Tigers late night: 4/17
I know some hate the constant Tigers thread, but I thought since we are on a west coast venture it wouldn't bother too many.
Anyway, Scherzer is starting. Hopefully he gets that fastball tuned right. As always, let's get those bats going so we don't have to rely on our bullpen.
Go Tigers!

Im guessing Scherzer gets 22 Ks tonight.

Hm. Odd RE: the Wins total. The TV just showed he is 7-0 vs. our Tigers. I'll look more into that.

Anyone that hates a nightly Tigers thread can simply not click on it. It's that simple.
Pistons doing their best to make me completely hate them by extending this game...
April 17th, 2013 at 10:27 PM ^
click just to hate. I agree with your sentiment!
I watch the Pistons bottom line like a hawk, but haven't tuned into an actual game in 2 years I am sad to say. I'm not asking for Miami Heat status; I just want relevence. They are the Pirates of the NBA. And yet, I am a PISTONS fan for life.

Felix has 3 strike outs through one inning. Not bad
April 17th, 2013 at 10:28 PM ^
Close but no cigar for Victor, they moved the left field wall in at Safeco correct?

Ahh yes thanks! I know the Mariners have really had the Tigers number the past few years but it's kind of nice to see them actually have a decent roster for a change. Getting Morse and Morales really adds some depth to the lineup that they haven't had since the Edgar Martinez days, but they really need to young guys such as Ackely and Montero to live up to their billings to be a wildcard team but it's nice to see them field a competitive team.

This is a Team 96 in review video, by MGoBlueVideo, and it is the best youtube video I have ever seen.

I don't know how to inbed that into this comment, and I don't have enough points for this, but someone needs to make this a post thing on the side. Goosebumps, chills, tears (allergy season). It hits the whole emotional spectrum.
Go Blue. Team 96 baby.
EDIT: Just realized it already has been posted. It's just on page 2 now. Must have been posted when I took a 2 hour break from this page earlier today.

4 SO so far for Felix. However, the Tigers are known for their adjustments. Hopefully Cabrera and others will see what is going on and hit some shots in the gap.
April 17th, 2013 at 10:35 PM ^
The Mariners obviously cannot hit, but they have been absolutely terrible when Felix is pitching. He never gets any run support.
April 17th, 2013 at 10:37 PM ^
Shouldn't there be an OT Red Wings board up? Fighting for a playoff spot against Calgary tonight.
Wings are down 1-0 after 1 period.

Looking like its going to be a good pitchers duel.
April 17th, 2013 at 10:50 PM ^
is nasty so far tonight.
Tigers just have great starting pitchers.

for Scherzer so far.

have a stream? I've checked firstrow and vipbox, but neither have working streams tonight.
Thanks

Atta boy Scherzer. 3 straight Ks in the 3rd.
April 17th, 2013 at 10:57 PM ^
is killing it. Let's hope we can keep them at bay and get those bats going soon!
April 17th, 2013 at 10:57 PM ^
Both pitchers are just nastey tonight. Another K for King Felix, 6 total
April 17th, 2013 at 10:57 PM ^
Felix and Max are both dealing right now, unfortunately for us Felix has less than 50 pitches thru 4....yuck.
April 17th, 2013 at 11:04 PM ^
is turning into quite the battle. Great pitching on both ends!

30 strike outs through 10 innings.
Push!
Wow, maybe I should set lines for a living.
April 17th, 2013 at 11:31 PM ^
I initially thought that V-Mart got a hit. I would have to see it again but that is a tough error.
April 17th, 2013 at 11:59 PM ^
as Seattle was stinging the ball a little more that inning. Tigers turned a DP thanks in part to a very slow-running Smoak giving Infante plenty of time to make the relay. 95+% of MLB hitters would have beat that relay.
April 18th, 2013 at 12:23 AM ^
Back to back Golden Sombreros for Fielder.
April 18th, 2013 at 12:33 AM ^
Clutch pitching by Coke right there.
April 18th, 2013 at 12:33 AM ^
Omar Infante saves the day and Coke comes back with a nice strikeout, free baseball from here on out.
April 18th, 2013 at 12:38 AM ^
That was a nice play by Infante, but the strike out of Smoak was to be expected.
April 18th, 2013 at 12:57 AM ^
I have seen quite a bit of Michigan gear at the game tonight. Nice to see the love in Seattle

Questionable decision by Leyland to send out Brayan, I guess this might be his last chance to sink or swim, if he blows it he better be on the first plane to Toledo.
despite Villareal's wildness. Good stuff does no good if you can't find the plate. Send him packing!
33 strike outs combined tonight thus far.
SO far: 38 Ks total for both team 5 short of the AL record, 43 (only 2 behind the NL record of 40 FWIW). Prince has a Platinum Sombrero and Jackson has a Golden Sombrero.
can't go to bed now, right? I hate west coast games
