It's not that unrealistic which would pretty much guarantee at least 3rd place. Maybe 2nd. The fact that we are talking about what bowl we might play in not if we play in a bowl is pretty sweet after last year.

If you put a speaker in every other seat of the stadium (not everybody yells) and from each played a sound roughly equivalent to the yell of an excited fan, and then measured the sound level on the field, I doubt Michigan Stadium would fare well in decibles compared to other top venues. The proximity to the field, density, and reflection just don't seem to this layman to support a comparatively high noise level on the field. I wonder what an acoustical engineer would say.

These seem to be pretty spotty right now. For instance, they have MSU in the Alamo bowl, and either Iowa or Northwestern(!!) in the Champ Sports bowl. Yes, the team that lost to a MAC school (albeit a good MAC school), the team that had to block 2 FGs to beat a FCS school, and the team that almost lost to EMU last week. So yeah, probably not very accurate.

I would be incredibly pumped about the Outback bowl, if true. Either Georgia or LSU would be great; Georgia has a good tradition and a great record against the Big Ten, and LSU is obviously an entertaining choice. Plus, we could have the game we wanted for the stadium opener.
