After reviewing penn state's roster you are correct. They don't have anyone of interest.
So, my question is would any legit JUCO QB transfer in just to be a backup?
Michigan has only had two JUCO transfers that I can think of.
Russell Shaw & Austin Panter.
I don't even want to think about grey-shirting anyone...so yeah. Hope Gardner doesn't get hurt sounds like the strategy, which obviously isn't the optimal one. Unless another guy doesn't return to the program suddenly, which I also don't want to think about...
We already have a great QB enrolled at Michigan. Hoke just needs to speak with Red and see if he can borrow Copp. Remember he set all kinds of passing records at Ann Arbor Skyline.
That's a very interesting point.
First the good news:
I have 4 years of eligibility left & the heart of a champion.
The bad news:
That champions heart is surrounded by a fat, arthritic 48 year-old with only a rudimentary knowledge of football.
Buy your own helemt, and you're hired.
He's still on scholarship, but he's suspended.
JUCO might not be the way to go since they have trouble transfering credits. We will have to sell a 5th year guy on getting his masters from UM. And that might be hard considering most guys who the graduate transfer move want immediate playing time. What are the rules on an FCS/D2/D3 level guy with a couple years left transfering in?
I don't think he gets "it".

Hoke and co did what they thought was the best path, and now they are going to make adjustments to compensate for injury. I have no problem with any of this. I am just going to trust that Brady Hoke is going to find players when he needs them.
It's not like they are Wiscy, and trying to find a new starter this way every year.
Coach Hoke to his secretary: "Nancy, would you please get Coach Sabin on the line? I need a little advice . . . "
Turner Baty...
David Cone. Get that pro-style magic cooking fast.
there has to be another Forcier brother out there to pick up.
Two weeks before last season started, Syracuse changed its entire offense, went with a hurry-up scheme, made Ryan Nassib an NFL QB prospect and finished with an 8-5 record after beating Geno Smith and West Virginia in the Pinstripe Bowl.
IF (perish the thought), the worst happens at Michigan and no graduate transfers materialize at QB, could we see the Single Wing Offense with high school QB Jeremy Gallon and high school running back/point guard Dennis Norfleet alternating at tailback in the original Manball Attack?
A.J. Derby out of Coffeyville C.C. in Iowa. 3 star, 6-4/255. A former Hawkeye QB as well.
My google search turned up that he:
a.) already transferred Arkansas
b.) has an arrest record
Guess they don't update the JUCO list very often.
Does Trey Burke throw a mean football?
