Welcome the team back, Crisler at 3:45
The basketball team is expected to arrive at the Crisler Center today at 3:45 p.m. North tunnel doors will open at 3:00.
Let's celebrate an amazing season of Michigan basketball, coaches, and players with a big welcome home!
Kate Upton is there to greet Spike.
But Red Berenson's in the house
Red Berenson was here right when the doors opened at 3. Said he wants team to know entire athletic department supports them

I'm done with class so you can bet your ass (rhyme) i'll be there!
God damnit I have class at 4:00... I would totally be there
Is the Michigan Difference.
Anyone know what they mean by the tunnels opening? Last time everyone gathered outside. Are they letting us in the arena? Anyone know?
There's a line right now
But only the north entrance is open
Cheer our boys home with pride.
GO BLUE!
Why am I so fucking emotional today?! Shit. Get a fucking grip! One minute I'm mad, the next I'm just down, now I'm proud and happy like they're my damn kids.
#sports.
Man-o-pause?
Got interviewed by WWJ. If you hear a kid who lost his voice because he was too busy screaming down at the game at the Dome, that's me
Somebody start a Hail To The Victors for me. I'll get you back next time.
Sometimes it sucks to be in So Cal...but not many times.
When you get in the car
Or when you breathe
Unless you live in SoCal and travel to atlanta to watch in person... ;)
At one point, I turned to my wife and said, "Could you imagine watching our son (now 2) do THAT when he is 18?"
Bear in mind my son is related to me, so in all probability, he WON'T be doing that, but to think of what these freshman did with whole world watching is hard to put into words.
Amazing.
Thanks boys.
Watching kids excel at anything, along with their parents, is pretty awesome. I cry at all this stuff trying to imagine how ridiculously proud three parents must be....and...my kids roll there eyes at me and how sappy I get.

sure the rest of the parents are proud, too, not just those three...

Hope they have anenormous crowd waiting there for them. They put on quite the show these last 3 weeks and gave Michigan some of its most exciting moments in years. Last night was, in my opinion, the biggest game for Michigan since the '98 Rose Bowl. Way bigger than UTL, and bigger than The Game in '06.
Congrats on a great season and an unbelievable tournament run.
Well I went down to the Final Four, and I agree that the game was huge. Still, The Game in 2006 is arguably the best possible scenario in sports, and it doesn't get much bigger than that. (I was also at that game, not that it matters)
You being there made that game what it is today. If you we're not there, I doubt it would have even happened.
My emotions have been on a roller coaster this whole season.. Great year of bball that i will never forget.. GO BLUE
PS.. March Madness is the most stressful time in Sports period. I know its been a while, but damn If your team keeps winning you never get to relax. Holy smokes i lost some yrs to my life
Post pics or vids for those of us who can't be there in person!
Ran out of storage just before trey spoke though and missed everything after that. Might put it up anyway
But I don't know how to post them?

If they had won it all I might've driven to Ann Arbor from New York just to give Spike a hug myself
Many players and coaches referred to this team as "Team 96." Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember anyone ever using this term before to describe the team.
In my opinion, like football, this needs to become a thing.
I think it's already a thing ... a very good thing.
(Seriously -- there's something really powerful about a connection to a great history. Some in today's age may sniff and dismiss it. But to the young men on these teams it's an important thing. They are in the prime of their young lives and they are now grafted into the sturdy vine of Michigan athletics. That's a good thing. A very good thing. The players sense it ... no, they know it.)
“What you don’t know is that Spike is so big right now that Kate Upton asked him out for a date and he said he’s too busy,” Beilein said.
I love this man

recently, shopping with her mom (really, true story, as her parents live just south of St. Joseph, MI). She was not dressed in a bikini that day but in a long coat (chilly early-spring day), hiding behind a pair of over-sized sunglasses.
Anyway, I was struck by how tall Kate is, quite possibly as tall or taller than Spike. He might want to add some inserts to his shoes to bring himself up to eye level ; then again, there are benefits, I would imagine, to keeping his current eye level if he's lucky enough to get that date with her...
Video and Pictures please!
Will take a bit to upload. Hopefully someone covered the rest
Not letting me embed for some reason, but here's the link:
Still hoping that MGoBlue will have a full video of the welcome home ceremony from April 9 at Crisler Arena (or maybe they'll have another celebration for the intermission at the Spring Football Game that they'll put online), but here's the video of the first nine minutes from DH16
