Submitted by ckersh74 on

Let's try this again.

And goddammit, don't break it!  :D

I'll leave it to Brian and Co. to provide the actual muppets.

Carry on. Again.

Literally yelled in ecstasy while driving home from my brothers after the game - by myself alone in my car.

Remembering those tough years truly make this that much better.

Mitch McGary and Trey Burke are my two favorite college basketball players to watch since Sean Singletary.  Watching McGary run a fast break like a point guard is awesome.  This is a dude who just has basketball sense.

Heart-stopping. And near-losses like this where we almost choked the game away always leave me with a bad taste in my mouth.

But not much of one, because they don't give you berths in the NC game for style; they give them for winning, and Michigan is winning!

Good night. We knew there was a chance mid-season, but... everything is just coming together. Is it fair to say that Michigan Basketball is "back" yet?

For the Michigan Fightin' Mitch McGarys of Michigan! To celebrate another Mitch McGary double-double: We had subs, we had subs, it was crazy, it was crazy. Go Blue!

I believe so too.  Louisville has the Ware story to rally around, but we have the same sense of unity and destiny.

So much heart, so much will to win.  These guys rally back from everything, and really have all year except for that MSU game.  I know they will give 110% on Monday and it just FEELS like it's meant to happen.  It FEELS like karma coming back after the past 15 years.

We entered the tourney shakey.

We beat Cinderellas.

We beat the iconic programs.

We wrecked the Havoc and the 2-3

We out-ran Florida, and out-muscled Kansas

We beat highly respected coaches old and new.

We beat  3 of the top 6 defenses....in a row.

We beat a 1, a 2, and a 4 seed so far.

We've beaten length.  We've beaten brawn.

We've established McGary as a double double machine

We've had bench players step up

We've seen miracle 3 point shots

One final game to see what else we've got.

Should be a good one. Siva is fast and crafty.  Will be interesting to see how he defends Burke.  If he overpursues, Burke could blow by him.  If Siva plays disciplined, it could hound Burke.  I do hope Burke doesn't try to do too much. This will undoubtedly be his last game and he's shown at times that he puts too much pressure on himself.

I think Spike is going to be an X factor.  The way they press, Spike's going to get some more minutes, he needs to keep producing.

It should be a great game.  I love when Michigan gets to run.  I think the trapping plays into our favor.  I'm hoping we are already a little prepared for Louisville since they were such heavy favorites, whereas Louisville probably didn't know who to scout until our game finished.  I'm hoping we might have a little bit of scouting edge there.

I think McGary should have another big day as well.

A post on RCMB asks who will win Monday night. One of the responses;

"Louisville because I really don't want to have to set myself on fire."

The circle is now complete. When he left the Big East, he was but the learner, now HE is the master. Take that you classless piece of shit.

Offensive fouls never go to shots. Same thing happened with the offensive foul that... I can't remember picked up lowering his shoulder into Hardaway to set a pick at the end of the game. Think it was Fair.

For all the talk about how they flow so well on defense and how it doesn't even look like a 2-3, they pretty much stood in a damn trapezoid the whole game. It was pretty clearly a 2-3 the entire time.

I have never watched so much postgame coverage in my life. It's the same thing over and over and over again but its still real to me damnit!
