BTN Showing Michigan Basketbal content tonight

Right now, it's Duke v. Michigan from 1989 with Keith Jackson and Dick Vitale announcing.

Later it's the 89 season.

...still silky smooth after all of these years.

EDIT:  This apparently is not the 1989 NCAA tourney!  My bad.   I'm recording it on DVR right now, so my error would have been apparent about an hour from now.

Let's just change Glen Rice to "Sean Higgins jump shot is still silky smooth after all of these years".   And Loy Vaught remains one of my top 5 favorite hoops players ever.   His ability to hit the 15 foot jumper was such a weapon (same for Juwan Howard).

Definitely loaded (Mills,Vaught,Higgins,Riley,Rumeal,Griffin,Talley,Caleb and some I am forgetting) but underachieved. I saw this last night and found Dicky V much less over the top.He has really become a characature of himself.

One of the great wonders of the world is why at every Michigan football or basketball game from the 90s the whole crowd is wearing white?

I have a couple framed posters in my bedroom of games at the big house from the early 90's and that's the first thing that jumps out at you, the majority of the crowd is wearing white. As a kid, I just thought this was normal. Student sections across the country wearing the same shirts (colors) didn't seem to become common until very late 90s. The maize rage for basketball started in 1999 but football didn't start it until 2003.

that BTN was suggesting that the Michigan Basketball program was "content" to reach the Final Four.  I was ready to angrily dispute that with every ounce of Maize and Blue vim and vigor I have.

Thankfully, though, I read further and realized that I can calm down and let my blood pressure subside...

Clear result of defense not being able to push, shove and grab. Offense was aplenty. God how they have ruined the game.

NBA score. Now we're lucky to see one 100 point game every couple of years.

And that 100pter this year was against D2 Slippery Rock. This one was against the eventual two-time NCAA champion.
