ND is Real Good

I'm still pumped up 4 hours later, but I must say we we're fortunate today because ND is the better team. MSU is in for some problems next week. Floyd is a monster and despite how much I hate Clausen he is a good QB. Their line held like mother fuckers, but if they block like that the rest of the year they might actually get 10 wins.

but their D still got lit up by a true freshman QB, they are going to be in a lot of shootouts this year...or maybe not since they dont play anyone else other than USC Aug

I'm not sure what to make of ND's defense. I think RichRod's offense, when it has the right kind of players, is just really, really hard to defend. Forcier's TD run was a prime example of the pressure the spread puts on a defense. ND was so conscious of defending the entire width of the field that the middle burst wide open once Forcier juked the only defender in position. I would not be surprised if we end up scoring more points against ND than anyone else this season.

Not gonna lie... there passing game is the real deal. Clausen has an NFL arm and some electrifying playmakers on the outside with a veteran o-line. They are going to light up the scoreboard quite a bit this year. I'm taking ND over MSU.

Totally, I thought the whole game that we were going to "get away" with one if we pulled it out against a team that had a ton of talent. If that game is played in South Bend, ND wins.

I agree 100% with this. Home field advantage was definitely exactly that today. ND has a very strong team and, when I remove my maize-colored lenses, is likely better than this year's version of the Maize & Blue. Today came down to which team had the ball last, and it ended up being us.

quite a few holds by the ND OL on the Michigan DL. However, they did do a good job in pass protection and did open up some sizeable holes for the ND RBs. Floyd is a freaking beast. He frightens me, but Cissoko was very aggressive and made some good plays (but also had his share of PI calls). Warren had some fantastic PBUs. Minor Rages and Rolls. As for Tate, the one word that kept popping into my head was moxy, like the kid's got tons of it.

Good news, Floyd was only off the field so he could get some stitches for a gash in his leg so he will be full go next week and in practice. In spite of the loss and all the lack of execution, we were still able to put points up, silver lining I guess.

I honestly think they might have the best receiving corps in the nation. Floyd is having an amazing year so far and he is a great deep threat. He could be a great receiver for years to come. Tate is also a very good receiver and he has great speed. Their tight end Kyle Rudolph also looked good today and Clausen has really developed into a great QB. They are a match-up nightmare and I have to agree that ND is the better team. Armando Allen also had a big day running the football and he helped open up the passing game. They should have a good year.

We just beat ND. They played well. Some might even say they played great. We played better. Not sure how you translate that into ND being a better team, but you are entitled to your opinion. As for me, I will stick with logic. P.S. It is highly unlikely that ND will get 10 wins this year. And even if they do, they still will have lost to Michigan.
