Trey Burke appreciation thread

Submitted by yoyo on

Burke was a great player and has just solidified legend status.  He dominated the 2nd half, hit practically a half court three to win the game, favorite to win the Naismith, all American.  He's done it all and done it with class.  Thank you Trey!

Picture yourself in the sweet sixteen down 3 points with 5 seconds left. Somebody takes a shot, you answer quite slowly #3 with a keleidescope shot.

We might not play our best every game but we sure as hell have the best player in college bball.  Regardless of what happens in the tourney, if he leaves I'll miss him as much if not more than Denard.

...this is a REALLY "true" (for lack of a better word).

Trey just cemented his legacy...and we allll got to watch.

Great point (OP), I hadn't thought of it, but that was it. We're going to be watching that play for YEARS.

What a great effort - cool as ice when the heat is on.

I've stated before that I've never been a huge BB fan, so I don't understand some of the nuances. One thing I don't need help with is recognizing that kind of play. Just unbelievable.

I have relatives in KC, too. Double Sweet!

We should take a breath to let this moment sink in.   What a special kid Burke is.  Cool.  Classy.  Clutch.  We could have to wait another generation before someone like him comes along again.  He will be to Michigan what Magic is to MSU.  How luck we got to see him.  Go Blue.

impressed with his effort in the 2nd half. If he can do 40 minutes worth of that then we will be nearly unstoppable. The backcourt in college BBall (especially in the tourney) is the key to victory or defeat.
