Michigan Basketball vs. Kansas NCAA Tournament Game 3 Open Thread

Submitted by M-Wolverine on
I'm sure there will be a Liveblog (because why jinx it?) but here's the Open Thread for this one too (because why jinx it?). From a fine season to a really good one, maybe more. Two down, four to go. Why not us? Time to shock the world. Go Blue!

Stop. "The never ending pain" of getting to watch the national player of the year, going to the sweet sixteen, beating both of our rivals, being the #1 team in the country and having the most wins in a season both for the first time since the Fab Five. It's not that bad. Yes, certain games could've gone better, but if this is "never ending pain" what was 5 years ago?

Kansas' night.  Meh.  We seem to be able to get their lead down to 2 (before subsequently letting it go back up to 10).  If we can do that before the final minutes, well, we're in it.

Kansas answered like a 1 seed is supposed to.  Damn it.  We have got to dig deep.  Not sure why Mcgary keeps coming out with so few fouls.

Just play "2 Bigs" and force them to make shots.

At this point, it's the only option on defense. They're destroying us in the paint.

Just ride McGary and Morgan and hope your guard play can get you back and pull this out for you. But you can't win if you can't stop them from scoring.

If you go "2 Bigs" and they start making a bunch of shots. Well, it's just not our night. But you have to MAKE them MAKE shots. We're just giving them 2 points every time down.

Everything has gone Kansas' way, but I still think we can pull this off. We need to start taking better shots, though. Hardaway needs a three set up for him.

Maybe it is just me but does it seem to anyone else that in the spotlight here that Trey has just disappeared? Any chance he has played his way out of the top 10 in the draft?

Kansas is just better unfortunately.  We're not that much less talented but they are just a tough matchup.  We've played sloppy but them dominiating us in the paint is no accident.

GRIII isn't giving you anything on offense.

PLEASE, PLEASE play McGary and Morgan together. We have to stop them from scoring.

This is like when Wisconsin ran the ball on us something like 22 straight plays in Rich Rod's first year (I think it was his first year).
