March Madness: How Broke Is Your Bracket?
After the first 32 games I'm staggering into the weekend at 23-9 with my picks. I'm also assured of at least 3 losses in the next round, but 6 of my E8 picks are still alive. How are you MGoBloggers doing so far?

On a scale of 1 to broke? Pretty broke.
24-8, Wisconsin killed me, but I'm okay - sitting in 1st in my pool with possibility of the highest point total.
Thank you Kenpom.
intact. I may be behind one of my friend in the pool challenge but I have the highest possible value by a wide, wide margin considering most of them have at least 1 or two final four teams eliminated. I'm in a great shape.
Surprisingly okay and doing much better than last year. I had Wisconsin winning two games so that hurt a bit but I didn't have Georgetown going past next round and some of my upset picks like Minnesota over UCLA and Oregon over Oklahoma State came out alright.
Nothing devastating yet but based on the some of the performances in the first round worried about a number of my picks.
and pitt in my elite eight. guess the big east was as bad as they looked this year. feeling good about picking lasalle, harvard, and both oregon and cal. so at least i got some of the good upset picks.
According to ESPN, I'm in the 78th percentile. I will take it considering I was in the 11th percentile yesterday.
I picked San Diego State and Iowa St.
It's madness.
I'd be a lot happier right now if Davidson had just held on. That was a Sweet 16 pick right there.
Only one Elite 8 team gone. I went undefeated in the late games this evening, as well.
23-9, but I'm in big trouble in the West and East. I had both Pitt and Georgetown in the Elite Eight.
My coin flipping bracket had Georgetown, Davidson, Bucknell, and Valpo in the final four. That bracket probably won't win that pool
didn't hurt. But I had K State over New Mexico to go to Atlanta my whole west bracket has been wrong
My fiancee picked Florida Gulf Coast over Georgetown because of it's medical laboratory school.
It's the only bracket I've seen with this pick.
year in a row they have been a high seed and bounced early? They looked like they were peaking at the right time and a "can't miss" this year...
my 7-year-old niece. She picked Lehigh last year too. Savant-like, though she finishes the pool in last place overall.
My wife picked FGC because she'd rather go to Florida than DC. Her strategy was to ...1. pick all B1G teams ... 2. pick games based on which city she'd rather visit. She managed to pick 24 games correctly.
Surprisingly not bad. I've got 240 points, and am in the 97.1 percentile for our group. I'm tied for 20th with a bunch of other people too
Same numbers at present for mine, but it gets ugly in the future
only 11 left for sweet 16, with more losses pending
only 6 left for elite 8, ibid
"You want a picture of the future ... imagine a boot stomping on a human face -- forever." That's pretty much how I feel about my bracket
I'm doing the exact same as OP. 23-9, with 3 guaranteed losses in the sweet 16 and 2 in the elite 8.
I went straight KenPom chalk thru the whole thing.
Still have 13/16 S16 teams, all of my Elite Eight. First round was a clusterfizzle.
But my PPR is David Terrell, B-A-D-esque.
Have a pool of about 45 of us at the office and I'm currently sitting pretty in 3rd place after tonight's games. 7 of my 8 elite 8 teams left. I sure could use those $450!
"Abgefucked"
I have Kansas State and Georgetown in the Final Four....so not too good.
is completely shot. The only games I called right in that region were OSU and Gonzaga. I blew the other 6 games there and lost Wisconsin as an Elite 8 team. I do have OSU in the final four though, so I can still salvage some points out of that region.
In Michigan's region, Georgetown didn't hurt me too bad, I just had them in the sweet 16 before getting bounced by Florida. My midwest and east are fine.
I'm 21-11 overall. 6 of those losses were in the West. I still have my whole final four, 7/8 elite 8s, and 12 of my sweet 16s.

Well, mine is pretty damn broke. But each of my FF teams are still in it. Wisc screwed me, GT screwed me...but I can recall a few years ago when George Mason shocked the world by going to the FF and my niece was a student there. Everyone in the family was happy for her. Now, my brother's other child, my nephew, is a student at Florida Gulf Coast. I really should have seen that one coming.
I am actually in four pools, including the MGoBlog Challenge - the other three are various office pools. In two of those office pools, I am still more or less alive at 25-7 and 24-8, but in the remaining office pool and the MGoBlog Challenge, this is what they would look like from the air right now:
Bracket? Oh, haha, no I didn't fill out a bracket. (match to piece of paper) This is just a blank sheet of paper, I swear, no brackets around here.
I will be only a financial donor in the office bracket challenge. Hoyas in the finals on one sheet, and New Mexico in the Final Four on my other. OUCH. Silver lining: All focus now centered on Michigan advancing since bracket sheets are now fish wrap. GO BLUE!!!
I got 25/32 right and managed to pick all of the 12th seed upsets correctly but I lost one of my final four teams (New Mexico) and I went against Butler so that may come back to haunt me if they keep advancing.
Wisky and Georgy crapped on my Elite8 party. Otherwise doing OK. Just wish Davidson would have won that game, I had them.
only 19-13, but i still have 13/16 avaiable for the next round and 8/8 after that so the tire fire will hopefully cool off somewhat this weekend.
I am the 1%
The west is killing everyone.

in the first round is doing great and kudos to you all. if you lost some of your final four that's a problem but. i am in a pool that gives greater points as the rounds go on, so i may end up catching some of you.
