OPEN THREAD - Round Two Friday Night Session

Hoping I get more picks correct tonight than during the day games. Also, hello weekend!

I personally am most interested in the 7-10 and 6-11 games. I do not see any bigger upsets occurring during the night cap.

Maybe not tonight, but some time this weekend.  They still are limited offensively and I could see them facing the same fate as Wisconsin, Pitt and KSU.  I hope I'm wrong from a B1G standpoint, but I wouldn't be surprised if they go down.

Politely disagree.  I think OSU is playing like a beast right now and I've got them winning it all (beating Indiana in the finals).

Wouldnt it be sweet though if OSU & Minny win tonight so that the only B1G team that lost in round one (errr two) would be the abomination from Wisconsin?

Is there a God?  I think if this happens there is your proof.

in a different way than it helps other B1G teams. If Matta thinks Craft & Scott can disrupt the opponent by themselves, he's more likely to play LaQ Ross, who is turning into a dangerous scorer but is even more D-challenged than Thomas. This is probably true of most of the teams in OSU's pod in Dayton. If they run in to Arizona next weekend, they'll probably need their superior defensive team again.

As mentioned above that bracket has Mich winning it all over ND...also they have St.Louis & Marquette as other 2 final 4 teams, additionally Creighton to beat Duke and Sparty. That bracket won't win but 22 for 22 is impressive

I switched back to Indiana-James Madison after dinner, out of morbid curiosity, and the CBS Lead Tracker appears to be bleeding, much like James Madison.

Indiana is maintaining an effective FG% of 65.0% right now, along with an offensive rebounding percentage of 40.0%. James Madison is still sitting around 40% for an effective FG percentage despite similar luck on the boards. It's interesting that Indiana only has one less turnover than JMU, but Indiana has made 17 assists as well.

JMU only has to score a point every 5.4 seconds now to tie.

This is like a carbon copy of Illinois's game at MSU.  They were up 10 or so at the half and then absolutely sucked for the first 10-12 minutes of the second half, and ended up losing.

of fouls uncalled against Ohio. They won't lose today. Damn. With how crazy today is and the west bracket, I was dreaming of a 15 over a 2. Oh well.

I've decided I'm going to make sure to watch every Ohio game this tournament.  It probably won't happen tonight, but I don't want to miss the sight of Aaron Craft walking despondently off the court.

The fact that that's Craft's first foul in over 100 minutes of play is just insane. I mean he's a great defender but he gets away with SO MUCH!

Obviously we've heard a bunch of times that they beat Miami. But they're a VERY talented team.

I'm not shocked in the least.

I didn't have the stones to pick them in my "main" bracket, but I have them in a couple others. Georgetown beat Tennessee earlier this year something like 38-37. If that's a 2-seed, that 2-seed can lose to anyone.

So I am finally enjoying one of these upsets.

Go.. {what are the Florida Gulf Coasters?}  Beat the Hoyas.
