OT: The sickest freefall stunt ever, flying between buildings in downtown Rio
Something to take your mind off the BTT
Granted, in a wingsuit, you have some ability to steer, HOWEVER, flying between those towers before pulling the ripcord was effing insane. Hate to be a spoiler, but I could not figure out what the big deal was until they wanted to go Iron Man flying through downtown Rio.
Great, but I think there's too much going on right now, between Michigan basketball, hockey and football, for posts like this on the board.
Are you a mod? Do you know the offseason rules?
Busted!
Things are going on with football and basketball right now? Shit, was I previously in a dream and we actually did make the BTT championship game?
I got hammered last night and I had a dream about Trey Burke cutting down the nets. Then I woke up in my moms basement.
LMAO best post ever

I beg to differ.
This made my night.
Unfreaking believable

These guys would have the intestinal fortitude to make free throws at the end of a game. Feel better?
Yeah because bitching about not making free throws is exciting in every thread other than this one.

Pretty cool stuff
that would be a cool way to see the 2016 olympics.
Theres no way I could stay conscience long enough to complete such a stunt.

In 2113, the University of Michigan will have varsity athletes competing in wingsuit basejumping who will get degrees in a aerospace engineering in the bargain.
I remember when Tyrone Biggums drank Red Balls and he was lifting up the bus. That video was insane though.
One of my ancestors/distant relatives helped pioneer the winged suit in the early 20th century. He died in France when his chute didnt open.
I can't post a link here, but google "Clem Sohn". A true daredevil whose death even made Time magazine.
here you go: a man way ahead of his time:
This already happened in Transformers 3.

Holy crap.

Dang near crapped myself watching them go between the buildings. Impressive.

Is it considered "freefall" when you're in a wingsuit?
Totally crazy regardless. Sweet video.

I could never, but glad someone is nuts enough to pull it off & film it for the rest of us sane folks.
Imagine if you were working in that building and you see these 2 objects fly rough right between - I'd crap myself.

I tried to use the old embed code in the OP as well as the new, and for some reason neither worked. In any event, it's pretty awesome...

Over played all of it on youtube so its nice to get distracted again. Amazing how far pure adrenaline takes you. "Some people snort for it, jab a vein... All you gotta do is jump"

For the next Bond movie.

J/K, that was banana's. Awesome video!!!
I saw a segment on Real Sports about these guys and they showed video of one guy hitting a bridge and (obviously) dying. I have trouble watching this stuff ever since.
