Worst part is that Wisconsin went on an 11-4 run to end the half, Michigan is in big trouble, they're totally playing into the hands of these bastards.

ESPN reporters act like Wisconsin is just playing terrible and we are playing well. We are playing just as terrible as they are we haven't even hit a 3 yet. I hate ESPN

This is exactly where Wisconsin wants things to be.  If they can keep it within 3 within the last 30 seconds, they'll win the game.

This game really does have Wisconsin written all over it, doesn't bode well for us.  They're not going to shoot 17% all game and they ended the half 11-4.

I just finished watching first half and haven't read this thread, but Wisconsin fouls every single trip up and down the floor.  I'm sure it has been repeated by everyone else, but this is brutal basketball to watch.  That being said, I love the effort so far.  The switches on defense have been very good.  Hopefully, we get it going in 2nd half.

why do the referees allow this to happen. i am not afraid of that raging bastard bo ryan. ignore him or call a freaking techincal on him. the refs from charlotte-richmond aren't technical shy.

You know, it's hard to tell. They're a relatively comatose crowd so far ... obviously there hasn't been a lot to react to. I'm with two lab mates who are local, they're basically just complaining about how terrible the badgers' FG % is. Which is legit. No particular insights, just wishing the shots were falling.

0-5 from three

0-4 from FT

35% overall

8 turnovers

3 turnovers by Burke

3 fouls on Horford

We could get our doors blown off if we aren't careful

I don't understand how everyone is blaming this on "Wisconsin basketball." Part, if not most of the blame has to go lie on UM. I mean, if they play mediocre basketball that first half, they're up by 15 minimum. This game looks like shit, because Michigan is playing like shit.

The real problem as someone noted above is that things always even out eventually.  No way Wisconsin shoots 20% from the field for the game.  They're going to start making shots and Michigan is going to have to do the same.

Will it?  I mean, we seem to actually be playing good D this game.  It's not like we're given them a bunch of bunnies and they're missing them like NW did with us.  And keep in mind, we haven't hit a single three yet.  A couple of those and actually make some free throws and we should be OK.  Provided the D continues to actually seem OK.

I can't stand watching a Wisconsin style basketball game; it is too frustrating. I wish Michigan could come out and blast them after halftime, but this game will likely go down to the last possession. If that happens, I don't like Michigan's chances.

watching wisconsin basketball is like watching a football team that runs iso up the middle on every single play and is guaranteed 3.33 yards on every single play and the only way to determine whether they win or lose is whether they can get 3.34 yards on one of their plays.

i refuse to believe that wisconsin fans watch wisconsin basketball and enjoy it

"We have so much talent" should die. These are the games where talented teams blitz UW when Bucky shoots poorly. We should have 35 points and UW unable to catch up.

McGary, Morgan and Horford are marginal on O so defenders can press the perimeter. Their O hasn't improved in 10 weeks.

Please play some ball.

....secretly, in a meeting just now, and did some quick math:

Wisconsin effective FG% - 20.7%

Michigan effective FG% - 34.5%

Offensive Rebound Pct. for Wisconsin - 25%. For Michigan, it's 30.4%

Not even that many assists either. We have 4, and the Badgers have 3.

We make free throws we're up 7 or 8.  We're a one point favorite and we're up by 3 at half.  Seems to me like the game is going pretty much as predicted.

As shitty as Wisconsin is playing we're playing exactly 3 points better and we've missed a TON of shots we should've hit.  Period.
