Denard cover vote going down to the wire
As I type this, Denard is up by only 30 votes, but I'm sure that will change by the time I'm done typing this. Anyway, do some last minute voting if you haven't yet, and pass it around.
https://www.facebook.com/questions/10151454940472280/At 10:10 PM, Denard is up by exactly 5,000.

DR | 194,167 |

Denard's lead is over 5k with less than an hour to go. I think this race is called.
I think he's in the clear also
"We are aware of the voting irregularities around the NCAA Football 14 Cover Vote. We are in touch with the players and schools involved in the final round voting, and in the spirit of integrity and fair play, are in agreement that only votes from legitimate accounts will be counted in the cover vote."
seems they will stop the poll tonight, and take few days to count all the real votes.
I'm assuming the answer is no because Denard had a big lead a few days ago. But I also feel like this allows EA sports to pretty much pick whoever they want to win and cover it up as a "recount".
What if we do end up being behind after this 'recount'? Even the presidential election can't get things right.... Just have to wait till Tuesday.
HUZZAH! I believe we have done it ladies and gentleman. I am fully prepared to announce that Denard Robinson will be on the cover of EA sports NCAA Football 14.
should have taken a screen shot of the final tallies.
That's nice of you, but EA won't be making any announcement until they get all the cheating out. (I am confident this will still put Denard on the cover, but at this point the poll was meaningless.)
A few minutes ago Denard had 199,517 and was up by about 5200 votes. The totals for both are now dropping steadily.

current totals:
DR 197,007
RS 187,738
Where are you seeing that? Looking at the poll here: https://www.facebook.com/questions/10151454940472280/ Denard is at 199k and Swope is at 190k. Are they adding votes back in?
People may be commenting who they want to vote for, but the totals have not increased as far as I can see, so I think it really is closed.
Word on the street is that this morning, David Boies’ associates, Chad Hanging and Bill S. Preston, Esq., will be filing a Complaint and Order to Show Cause in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida at the Courthouse in Fort Lauderdale (about 17.5 miles from Deerfield Beach, Florida), seeking to have Denard Robinson of the University of Michigan declared the winner of the EA Sports NCAA Football ‘14 Cover Vote election and all ballots and voting machines used in the election impounded until the Court has made its final decision.
Film crews from ESPN, MGoBlog, the NFL Network and the Onion Sports Network already are there to cover the proceedings
We'll continue to cover this story as it develops. Now, back to our regulalrly scheduled programming..
If Fbook cooperates with EA Sports, it'd be a relatively simple process to find legimitate votes I think. Only take votes for accounts created before March 7th (or whatever day/time they see fit) and don't take votes from the 'cause' pages that are linked to a single user's profile.
There's really no feasible way Denard doesn't get on the cover, if it is legitimate.
I disagree with this plan. What if I am a legitimate voter but don't have a facebook, so I made one yesterday so that I could vote? Using the process you suggest, my vote would not count.
Just put Brent Mussberger and Katherine Webb on the cover
Is it over? Did Denard win?
