Roh says watch out for Wormley
Big praise from @craigroh88 aimed at @chris_wormley43. Called Wormley "the 12th stage of evolution" for gaining 30 lbs of muscle in camp!

30 lbs of muscle! Guy was already a beast at 6'5 270. Sounds like he's destined for 3-tech, although if he's athletic enough i don't mind a 300lb 5-tech
He really didn't look like a 300 pounder. He was walking around like normal so thats good.
I think he will be a big surprise for this next year. He has been an under the radar type guy. He was mostly a 3* when we thought he would be a 4*. He got injured and hasn't really been heard from much since. I'm excited to see what he can do.
His offer sheet tells the story. I wouldn't call him under the radar though. Jake Ryan was under the radar.
not sure about the whole "under the radar" thing.
Dopler might have still picked him up
He was hardly under the radar. A lot of people had him touted as one of the top three players in Ohio going into his senior season.
Yes, going in. But when the rankings come out, he was hardy ranked nationally. I guess I should have said "quiet" rather than under the radar. He hasn't been talked about or heard from all that much.
And I guess I'm also trying to say that I think he will out produce his rankings by a long shot.
he was going to play as a freshman last year. thats pretty good.
Yeah, guys like...
Craig Roh
He turned out ok...
Laugh Out Loud. Are we not done with these kinds of conversations yet? Stop living in the past, Uncle Rico.
Can you imagine how good he would be this year if he would of redshirted and RR hadn't tried moving him to LB?
"Stop living in the past" What an interesting thing to say lol.
The winningest program in college football history.
Come to Michigan you can be the next Tom brady.
the list goes on and on.
what RR recruites that weight 330lbs on the dline?
No one has mentioned the context this quote was made in. Roh said on WTKA that Wormley had put on 30 lbs of muscle BEFORE he was injured. I don't know if that is possible, that's just what Roh said on the radio.
His tape was incredibly impressive. I know he had a tendency to sleepwalk through portions of games, but when his motor was on, he looked incredibly athletic for a big guy. I think if his knee holds up that he'll be a serious contributor.
I know he had a tendency to sleepwalk through portions of games...
That is what gives me pause re: Wormley. Like you I noticed (even in his highlight film) that he had a tendancy to take plays off or just quit on a play if he did not "make the play" in the first 2-3 seconds.
He obviously has all the physical tools necessary to be an All Conference player (possibly even All American), it's just a matter of getting him to play with full intensity all of the time. I'm certainly hoping that the coaching staff can "push the right buttons" to get Wormley to fully tap his outstanding gifts.
Wormley's body compostion coming out of HS was already bottom-heavy; so, in an odd way, he might actually benefit from being forced to work mostly on his upper body.
corp of young Turk d-linemen: Godin, Stroebel, Henry, Charlton, Pipkins, and Hurst.
This video is from the Mock Rock Feb. 4, you can see Wormley almost directly behind Houma. He's the one that looks like the Hulk! He looks to easily be 290+ considering he's 6'4-6'5.
Whoa...his arms are freakishly long. Dude is massive.
Wormley looks like a man child!
he couldn't lead the Haka. We're doomed.
What I would give for four more year in Ann Arbor... Man I miss that place. For all that are in school, enjoy it!
He's training in Arizona now, that's why he was interviewed. I'd assume a team would at least pick him up as a free agent.
I think there's a chance he'll get drafted late, but I thought the same thing about Ryan Van Bergen and he went undrafted.
jock
just hope the knee holds up. wishing you well mr. wormley.
someone mentioned that before Wormley's injury last year he was destroying people at camp and was extremely hard to block.. Not really sure where the info came from as I didn't hear much from last year's camp if anyone has other info.
He did seem like someone who could make a huge impact for us regardless and I can't wait to see him get some gametime
I loved Roh but honestly I had way higher expectations for him. I do not think he has reached his "ceiling" of potential. Just think if he had 4 years under Mattison.

he stood out as a physical specimen even among the footballers
legs like tree trunks. guy is HUGE
about guys gaining that much weight in such a short period of time. Raises questions.
