I didn't what to expect after Burke's miss layup which could of resulted in a +12 margin.  Instead MSU gets BS 5 point possession.  7 point swing in matter of seconds...

I missed the entire game except the last 3:53 because it is my wife's birthday and I took her out.  Needless to say I destroyed any goodwill I had going in the last 4 minutes of the game as a result of my behavior and commentary.   Thank God for Trey Burke.  I can tell it is going to be a little icy around my house for the next couple hours.  At least we won the game.

I would be sleeping on the couch.  Since we won, I now have a couple hours to undo the damage I did.  If we would have lost I would still be doing damage.  I'm confident I will be sleeping in the bed tonight.

This game was ugly as hell and we pulled it out without making a single outside shot.  Hardaway was awful.  Stauskas didn't even play but the defensive intensity was there for 40 minutes.  That is why we won.  Huge win for this team's confidence and helps reel in the possible downward spiral started with the Penn St loss this week.  Play with the same defensive intensity this week and maybe...just maybe.....

I think that we should, first and foremost, thank Michigan State for its eighteen turnovers, but perhaps more importantly, a spirited defensive performance from Michigan which included 11 steals (thanks, Trey!). We had only nine offensive rebounds to State's seventeen, but we did an awesome job of making sure they could capitalize on not many of them. Very spirited play!

Too much going on to mention this at the time, but did anyone else catch whichever annoucer said, "It's hard to imagine, but Derrick Nix weighed 340 lbs in high school"?  WTF?  How is that hard to imagine?  Have you not, like, looked at him?

P.S. Awesome game! Especially Trey (I know, big surprise) and McGary.

What really concerns me with the threes is not the lack of makes, but the lack of good looks.  It seemed like every 3 was either a tough shot or it was contested very well.  Other than that, go McGary, go post touches, go blue, and go Burke! Incredible job!

MSU was hugely conscious of the 3 and really got up in our guys' grills at the perimeter.  But that opened up the drive inside.  We had way more points in the paint than I'd have ever imagined.

What is everyone's thoughts about Stauskas being out and us potentially playing better overall as a team? I'm not saying one way or another, because i'm not educated enough to know how much of a difference it made. But you have to wonder... FWIW I do like Stauskas a lot, he is just a concern at times as we all know.

I'm not questioning Stauskas's ability, skills, and potential, as I know they are all at the highest level, I just know that at times his lack of effort and his so called "swagger" gets in the way of his potential. Also, his defense is aweful, that I AM questioning.
