#2 Miami (YTM) down by 13 to Wake Forest at Halftime, chance for UM to jump up if we take care of business tomorrow.

Also, looking forward to Georgetown & 'Cuse at 4 pm.

My god, is Miami's luck FINALLY running out?!?! They have two good wins (home against MSU and Duke) and perhaps an away game at NC State but have had luck on their sides for the past few weeks. COME ON DEMON DECONS!!

Miami now has 2 bad losses, WF is 159 in the RPI.  Looks like it will be either Duke or Miami getting a 1 seed and not both.  If you can shoot from the outside Miami is very beatable.

Miami has barely eaked out wins over a couple of very mediocre teams. As well as having a second devastating loss if they lose here. In my mind they are the most over-rated in the NCAAM

Would be nice for WVU to take care of Oklahoma State and keep them in top 100 RPI. Their best player already has three fouls and the second half has not started.

Seth Greenberg just made a good point about worrying about your own business and taking care of the next game. If our team can do that we could be going into the Michigan State game with a little momentum.

Regardless take care of the Illini tomorrow and D up.

Nice to see Miami go down and yes, they have been fortunate to escape about half the teams they have played this year.

But otherwise, it's not an exciting day of college basketball today.  Syracuse and Georgetown is the only matchup of ranked teams.  Unless anyone is excited to see New Mexico vs. Colorado State.

Here's the relative stagnation of Miami's shooting in the last three games - Clemson, Virginia, and the loss today again Wake Forest:

  EFFECTIVE FG%
MIAMI 37.5% 46.8% 45.3%
OPP.  33.9% 43.3% 61.5%

They shot over 60% against Florida State on the 13th, so they are going on a two week cold spell here.

Iowa collapsed at Nebraska just a bit ago.  16 point halftime lead, Nebraska takes the lead with 1:30, Iowa ties with ~1:00, Nebraska heaves up a prayer with under 10 seconds and wins by 4.  Buh-bye NCAA Tourney, Iowa.

I dunno.  I was thinking the same about two weeks ago, but as of earlier today, they were 17-9 (and 6-7 in Big Ten play).  5 games left, 4 out of 5 winnable with their Illinois game at home being the kicker.  They win that one, plus the other 3 should-be wins, they would have been 21-10 and 8 in the Big Ten.  Tack on a BTT win and I felt they were in, not easily, but definitely in with the Big Ten being such a strong conference.

That all means nothing, now, of course.  Iowa isn't a bad team and can be down right good when clicking, so winning the 4 of 5 games left shouldn't have been a tough task.  Nebraska, Purdue, Penn St., and Ilinois are all teams Iowa can beat.  But now, enjoy the NIT Hawks.
