Your link does not work.

This one does!

Edit: Seems kind of weak, and I guess explains why Brandon Lyon closed out the 9th these last few games.

Edit Edit: Your link still doesn't work.

I dont get why the Rodney hatin. Sure he makes people nervous but 1 blown save? It's obvious he needs the pressure, his ERA in save situations vs non is drastically different.

I'd still take Rodney over Lyon any day of the week but it's nice to see Brandon hold it down while Rodney is gone.

way. Rodney has been very good this year. But you did make it sound like Lyon is having a worse season than Rodney which certainly isn't true. Lyon has a 2.91 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and .204 OBA. Even more fascinating are his stats outdoors: 1.94 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, .179 OBA. Practically ALL of the damage done off Lyon this year was in games @ Minny and Toronto.

3 games? Give me a break. I thought a fine would be the end. So does this mean he isn't available tonight? Did his suspension just come into effect today (so he will miss KC series), or has he already served two games (see Lyon in TB)?

On principle, this is ridiculous and he probably would get a shorter suspension intentionally throwing at the head of a batter. I hate it.

However, in reality, he could use a few games off and what better series to miss than the Royals? I love it.

I watched him do it on TV and and it was out of aggression. I look at it this way, if I was at the game with my son and we got up after the last out to leave and my son got clocked in the head from the baseball that he through I would be supper pissed! I think the punishment fits the crime! I do like Rodney, but that was uncalled for.

The funny thing about this is that MLB actually encourages players to toss balls in the stands after an inning is over (though obviously not as hard as he threw it).
