Ommegang is indeed tremendous.  The Hennepin is great, I'm not much into quads but 3 philos is great and just about everything else they do is first class.  I would have loved to have been in Cooperstown for the Wilco show at the brewery but we were about to have our second son and momma don't like being 9 months pregnant with her husband drunk on Ommegang 800 miles from her ob/gyn.

Geeze... The 10 is pure smoke! I love it, but I'm afraid to go anywhere near the 18. I'd like to try it before I commit to a bottle, but anywhere I go that has it (a rarity, to say the least) always wants nearly $20 a glass.

I do believe I will have some ardmore later, though.

XMas gift ever.  Love my wife.

It's actually quite a bit smoother than the 10 or 12.  I wouldn't enjoy drinking it everyday, can tell you that.

The second glass inspired me to make a fire on the patio, and contemplate beingness and nothingness whilst watching the lake effect snow come down by firelight.

I'm in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley. The only place I could find that sold Hopslam would only sell me and my buddy 2 bottles each. It's too strong for him, so I got all 4 bottles. I've saved them for special occasions like recent big M bball games. I met the girl who would become my wife 2 days before I started my current job nearly 7 years ago. This job has required heavy travel, including 6 months in New Mexico, 6 months in Florida, almost 2 years in ohio, and work here and there in 11 other states. Today I got a new job 15 minutes from my new home with a Monday to Friday schedule that will allow me to be home every night with my wife, my dog, my two cats, and my eight chickens. Tonight I drank my last Hopslam.

Anyone watching UDetroit on ESPN2?

They are @ Valpo who is 10-2 in the conference. Detroit is 9-4.

Detroit is on a 9-0 run to cut a lead to 6 and Ray McCallum is lookiing good.

EDIT: Also, Maryland up 4 on Duke, but are starting to turn it over a bunch.

Arm pulled. Trying to rid the basement fridge of beer anyway. I'm going to give beer a break and stick to tequila for the next few weeks once I clean out the beer. Thirsty dog raspberry ale to start with a Great Lakes Christmas ale to follow.

I am ususally a Bourbon guy, Elijah Craig 12 year is a favorite. But tonight I am enjoying a bottle of Scotch my wife bought for me, The Famous Grouse, I could see myself drinking a lot more Scotch since the Grouse is so very tasty
