M Baseball & Softball TV schedules released
The Michigan baseball and softball programs both released their TV schedules on BTN today. And wow, does it suck badly. They're basically saying "I hope you have a subscription to MGoBlueTV or you ain't seeing nothin'!"
4/16 | at Indiana | 2pm |
4/16 | at Indiana | 4pm |
4/21 | vs Iowa | 3pm |
4/27 | at Nebraska | 2pm |
5/11 | B1G Tournament Semifinals | TBD |
5/12 | B1G Tournament Championship Game | TBD |
There is a chance BTN will pick up the full series from May 3-5 against northwestern as a wildcard selection. I would bank on it since those games are usually pretty good.
And here is the grand of total of 1 confirmed baseball game that will be on BTN-
4/14 | vs Penn State | Noon |
5/22 | B1G Tournament | TBD |
5/23 | B1G Tournament | TBD |
5/24 | B1G Tournament | TBD |
5/25 | B1G Tournament | TBD |
5/26 | B1G Tournament (if nec.) | TBD |
I expect the game against northwestern at Wrigley to be picked up regardless of what BTN says.

What content will BTN be carrying instead of baseball and softball? Football and basketball replays? It seems like they would be wanting more content. I just don't get it.

Why don't they broadcast more baseball/softball games. It could really help with recruiting to be on tv every game and it's not like BTN has anything better to put on.

My thoughts exactly. I am a rabid baseball fan and would love the chance to watch more b1g baseball on t.v. I have been thinking of trying to pick up some tickets to a game for the first time this year.

It's a shame that there isn't more baseball on BTN to begin with, but a quick scan of the schedule there actually reveals that Wisconsin has no baseball games that will air on BTN and only two softball games. Still, you would think that this would be the perfect thing to air for the conference's own network in March, April and May, but they don't seem to agree. That's unfortunate that only one Michigan baseball game will be on BTN, and really unfortunate that their slots don't really cover a representative sample of all the games for either baseball or softball, at least in my opinion.

wisconsin doesn't have any games airing because they don't field a baseball program. They dropped baseball in the 1990s.

I'm planning on going to quite a few games this year. Sad that we can't get more games on TV. Pathetic really. Sucks for fans not in the vicinity of AA
