FSU vs Miami live!

Isn't this going to eat up MGoBlog's bandwidth if people watch video on this site? Changing post to a link for people to watch may be better. Just thinking of Brian's servers, considering they crashed last Monday.
September 7th, 2009 at 8:22 PM ^
FWIW, the site upgraded to a new server last night. The site was down for about 2 hours and 3 people might not have taken the pressure of no mgoblog and ended their lives. There's quite a few of the regulars not posting today.
September 7th, 2009 at 8:25 PM ^
They could have offed themselves, or it could be that the arent at work today which is where they do most of their posting
September 7th, 2009 at 11:21 PM ^
or the truth...
they're being Barwis'd all-day-long
voluntarily

Thanks for info. Big year for Shannon; he turned down a contract extension in hopes of landing a huge new contract. Like what he has done with recruiting at the U, but I think he's way in over his head coaching at the U. They still got Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, and Oklahoma this month; tough schedule.
September 7th, 2009 at 8:37 PM ^
They may be younger, but they've also gotten experience during their tribulations last year. If they can manage to upset at least one of those remaining teams, it'll be huge for the program. This wasn't supposed to be the year they come back, that's next year.
September 7th, 2009 at 10:31 PM ^
I was scared work blocked the site and didn't know how I would spend my 40 hours a week.
September 7th, 2009 at 8:16 PM ^
I am hoping Ray Ray Armstrong gets some plays in. Did anyone see him at the Under Armour game last year? Pure hilarity. I will try and find the clip.
September 7th, 2009 at 8:23 PM ^
This game looks to be a good one over the first 6 minutes. I'm not sure which team I'm rooting for yet. Probably FSU just because it'll keep the crowd into it.
September 7th, 2009 at 8:31 PM ^
every year seems to come down to the wire.
Last year was a shootout which was rare for series, here's hoping that this game is a good one.
September 7th, 2009 at 8:26 PM ^
Ponder has got a nice touch on this throws but he better slide on plays like that. He is going to hurt himself.
September 7th, 2009 at 8:28 PM ^
He seems like he's giving up on the pass quick too.
And stumbling a bit.
September 7th, 2009 at 8:31 PM ^
Stumbling a lot. Can't believe Miami has already used two timeouts.
September 7th, 2009 at 8:32 PM ^
Wow, that was some bad defense by Miami.
September 7th, 2009 at 8:32 PM ^
to the TE -
the crowd is really in to this game - great atmosphere
September 7th, 2009 at 8:47 PM ^
This seems to be a very decent live feed. Did anybody notice if there was something similar available yesterday for the Michigan game? Numerous people have asked where/how they can watch the games while overseas, and I'm thinking something like this would be good enough.
September 7th, 2009 at 8:59 PM ^
Todd Jones on that last carry...when did he lose 50 lbs and enroll at FSU. I miss him blowing saves for the tigers :(
September 7th, 2009 at 9:04 PM ^
Serious question: Does Bobby Bowden coach at all any more or is he just a figure-head at this point? Seems like he is just standing around watching the game...
September 7th, 2009 at 9:56 PM ^
... he delegates. Think of him as the overseer on a nice, old, southern plantation. Still makes pretty good money, though. And his show is as confusing and inscrutible as ever.
September 7th, 2009 at 9:18 PM ^
Both of these teams seem to be lacking fundamentals. Neither team tackles or blocks very well. It just seems to be that a fundamentally sound team would route either one of these teams. It struck me as strange to envision our defense and consider them fundamentally sound, but compared to recent years they are vastly improved. I am so excited about the prospects of this year and years to come its not even funny.
There is a sick amount of speed out there tonight.
September 7th, 2009 at 10:33 PM ^
Not sure I agree on the fundamentals, but agree on the speed. And Miami has killer receivers (four at 6'3" or taller). Damn.
September 7th, 2009 at 10:02 PM ^
Great, fun, hard hitting, furiously paced typical FSU/Miami game.
So far, just what I expected.
After years of incompentent QB play dominating this series, its nice to see both QBs at least making plays and moving the offenses. Neither are great, but you can see these teams making a move in the ACC with these QBs over the production of past years at that spot.
September 7th, 2009 at 10:30 PM ^
This is a really entertaining game. I am impressed that for all the talk of spread QBs taking over the college game, two old-school drop-back passers are dominating this one and going back and forth.
September 7th, 2009 at 10:30 PM ^
play - would be putting it nicely.
Names like Kyle Wright, Drew Weatherford and Kirby Freeman leave a bad taste in my mouth.
Those guys make Chris Rix seem like an all-timer
September 7th, 2009 at 10:16 PM ^
Getting a nuts/groin injury on national tv is bad enough, having the field camera point down and slowly come to a stop above you as you lay in agony on your back?
priceless.
September 7th, 2009 at 10:25 PM ^
BYU is gonna eat the Seminoles alive.
September 7th, 2009 at 10:27 PM ^
that gigantic FSU TE remind anyone else of former UM great Jokasich (sp)?
September 7th, 2009 at 10:32 PM ^
Anyone else catch the FSU kickers cleats? I am all for crazy colored cleats, for soccer players. I am very glad Olesnavage doesn't rock a pair of maize Adidas clears.
September 7th, 2009 at 10:34 PM ^
nail a 52 yarder as a true frosh - I guess you can wear whatever color cleats you like
September 7th, 2009 at 10:36 PM ^
You are correct, I will tip my hat to that one. Just trying to wrap my head around maize colored cleats.
September 7th, 2009 at 11:04 PM ^
I would love to see Zoltan in some Maize cleats that light up on contact. Oh, and Tate's should make a lightsaber sound every time he takes a step.
September 7th, 2009 at 10:32 PM ^
Miami needs some points on this drive.
September 7th, 2009 at 10:39 PM ^
Greg Reid is having himself a game. Nice return.
September 7th, 2009 at 10:41 PM ^
very impressive how he was almost tripped up - but managed to keep his balance by placing his hand on the ground - good vision too - he seemed to really follows his blockers to open field
September 7th, 2009 at 10:42 PM ^
I'll be the one to point out he didn't switch which hand he was carrying the ball with, negating him a potential stiff arm as he was being pushed out of bounds. Still impressive though.
September 7th, 2009 at 10:44 PM ^
nice drived ruined by a fumble
The big MO is swinging towards the hurricanes -
like the call to throw deep after the TO - catch 'em off guard.
September 7th, 2009 at 10:46 PM ^
But is it just me or does Erin Andrews look not nearly as hot as she has in the past?
Also, what's up with the players sucking up and cramping up all over the place? Glad that didn't really happen at all to any of our players! I'm not even going to say it but you know what I mean.
September 7th, 2009 at 10:48 PM ^
a lot easier to cramp up in Florida than it is to Michigan
September 7th, 2009 at 10:49 PM ^
I thought she looked better than ever on Thursday. Today is closer to her normal.
September 7th, 2009 at 10:53 PM ^
ESTRADA! I would soooo buy those glasses
September 7th, 2009 at 10:56 PM ^
XP might come back and bite FSU in the ass
September 7th, 2009 at 11:07 PM ^
This game is the best non-Michigan game I've watched all weekend. That's saying something as I've probably watch the majority of 20 or so games this week, plus parts and pieces of another 15 or so.
That was a hell of a hit that WR took on the 2pt'r.
September 7th, 2009 at 11:08 PM ^
held on to that - he got popped
Great game in a great rivalry.
September 7th, 2009 at 11:08 PM ^
I sure hope that Campbell on the 'Cane defense is related to Luther Campbell of 2 Live Crew.
September 7th, 2009 at 11:09 PM ^
It keeps going back and forth, back and forth. Its starting to make up for the crap Oregin/Boise State game back on thursday
September 7th, 2009 at 11:12 PM ^
I really don't know who to root for in this game. I can't stand either school and anytime I start pulling for one, ESPN shows me someone in the stands that makes me hate that fanbase.
September 7th, 2009 at 11:16 PM ^
by Miami - great effort by that receiver
But I must say both teams running game is MIA.
September 7th, 2009 at 11:23 PM ^
but I can't get over the fact that Bowden had shingles, what's next scurvy?
September 7th, 2009 at 11:27 PM ^
A mack truck could have ran through that first one!
