Wilton Speight Doing Work

Submitted by MJ14 on

The M Block has some info out on Drake Harris. In it included this quote from Drake:

"Wilton was just like, 'I want a top receiver like you to be able to throw the ball to.' He also said that I should hit him up sometime when he's in Ann Arbor and maybe me and him can meet up and throw. I will probably do that when he comes up here."

Wilton also told Coach Brown that he promises he can get Drake to commit. And I don't believe it's too far fetched. Drake said he's very interested in the University of Michigan, and obviously the depth is going to look really good for an elite prospect.

The best news may be Drake Harris' reply to Wilton earlier this week about him coming to AA.

S/O to @WiltonSpeight he's one of the best qb's in the 2014 class go follow him!

I'm hoping we can get Drake Harris, and it looks like Wilton is doing his best to convince him. What do you guys think? Wilton sure seems to be following in Morris' footsteps well.

What's with you knuckleheads asking "what do you guys think"? Because you post something on the MGOboard predicting no responses? Did you think the contradictory tweets weren't, obviously, contradictory? The OSU tweet isn't gonna upset UofM fans? Maybe you could have lead with Webb stating his pleasure with OSU visit, then use the Speight's recruiting him as context. This post is too confusing and makes your efforts to be positive look really sophomoric.

The quote  from the Block M article is actually pretty interesting to me - you have to admire that Speight is apparently willing to at least try and close the deal on Harris, if you will, by personally staking his skills. I like the cofidence certainly.

So, since Shane isn't a student at Michigan yet, is he allowed to have contact with Wilson?  Specifically, can Shane teach the kid up on his recruiting techniques?

He better start talking with Malik McDowell. Per Allen Trieu, McDowell is a Notre Dame lean and visiting Ohio next weekend. If we lose 3 of the top 5 in-state recruits to Ohio and ND, it will look bad for us. You would think guys like Marshall and McDowell would love to play for Hoke and Mattison, two coaches who specialize on the d-line.

holy moly do i wish people on here would stop placing so much emphasis on dashawn hand coming to UM. we all realize that the odds are low, correct? it makes us look as if we're not grounded in reality. just asking for a letdown. recruit the hell out of the kid and hope he comes, but man do people need to tone it down.
