Beat Ohio?

Ohio Beat!

For my memorable 1000th MGoPoint.  Well timed if I do say so myself.

EDIT:  POSBANG, then post-victory pancakes all around.

But they allowed the players to play at the end. I am glad they didn't get give Craft a flagrant foul at the end. By definition yes it was but come on this is Michigan vs Ohio.

Tough, tough game.  We haven't had this type of game all year, and I think this is the kind of game that makes freshmen not quite so young.

We didn't play our best, but we played well enough - just barely.  Mr. Timothy Hardaway Jr was a beastman and carried this team during some difficult stretches.

A couple close non-calls down the stretch.  I don't have a problem with the no calls, of course, and I will say this: it is always better to be over aggressive in those situations - just don't let them score.  Great defensive effort in OT.

Beat Ohio.

For all of you saying craft got fouled your right. But if you call that it should  have been a flagrant one on the foul before and Craft never would have had the ball.

Am I the only one who thinks this team is going nowhere come march unless Beilein gets his shit together and reins in Burke? It's almost like he's getting lackadaisical in his historically great set play calling because for the first time he has a superstar handling the ball. I mean honestly, if your going to just run an iso, don't call a timeout. At least then you don't give the other coach and everyone else in the arena a chance to remind his team that you're going to run iso. I've never been so pissed after a win.

I agree with you on this point, unfortunately.  I'm getting more nervous about this teams ability the past couple weeks.  Yes other teams are coming to form later in the season and we may have peaked early but the youth and other deficiencies are becoming more apparent.

I'n not jumping off ship by any means.  They're still a top ten team and very talented.  My realistic views on this teams destiny are coming back to earth, though.

No, you don't.  You get everyone moving to try getting the best player in the country an open look or an open lane so he doesn't have a guy in his face the entire time expecting him to jack up a three.  We know from experience that Beilein has an encyclopedia of set plays in his brain, but he's dropped the whole playbook in the trash recently to run the same iso every time.  Get him the ball, absolutely.  But mix it up a little.

If we cant play better in the paint on both ends were not getting passed the sweet 16...OUr rotation on D was awful and we need to go to the high screen more..

oh and Stauskus drives me nuts..

some well deserved rest for a couple days. Wisconsin won't be an easy one but atleast they have some time to get some rest. Morgan should be healed up in time to play some more.

And I would like to see us set up something other than a step back three at the end of regulation. That play has been pretty predictable.
