MBB Fuse Box Key Words

Submitted by anwonadell on

About a week ago, there was some chatter on the board about the key words associated with each player in the locker room fuse box. These symbolize an idea that each individual player concentrates on throughout the season. Before every practice and game, each player switches their switch to "on". Earlier, we just knew Mitch McGary's was "Enthusiasm". ESPN granted us a view of a few others:

Eso Akunne - Sacrifice

Blake McLimans - Focus

Matt Vogrich - Unity

Tim Hardaway Jr. - Preparation

Trey Burke - Poise (revealed in Indiana pregame)

Spike Albrecht - Smart

Mitch McGary - Enthusiasm

Josh Bartelstein - Perspective

Corey Person - Communication

Jordan Morgan - Toughness

Jon Horford - Belief

Max Beifeldt - Physical

Caris LeVert - Determination

GRIII - Dependable

Nik Stauskas is notably absent from the photo, so his remains a mystery.

Those are all great words for them to focus on..I feel they really gave each specific word to the right person. Easy to see how Burke is poised, spike is smart, and Eso with the sacrifice..etc.

Man I LOVE this team!!

Bacari:  "Josh, great practice"

Bartelstein:  "Thanks, coach"

Bacari:  "You pumped for OSU tonight?"

Bartelstein:  "Yes coach"

Bacari:  "You remember your fuse word, right?"

Bartelstein: "Yes coach - PERSPECTIVE"

Bacari:  "Excellent, young man.  Now go enjoy the game from the perspective of the bench.  A lot of kids would kill for the seat you got!"

The pic of the fuse box all lite up is really quite awesome.  Great concept and the "WE ON" makes a lot more sense as well, how when each of the players can individually acheive their goal/focus, the team plays in sync.
