Temple Owls represent.
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:36 PM ^
If I was a Ravens fan I would be breaking all kinds of shit right now. Unreal
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:36 PM ^
Genius if it works; kick in the nuts when it doesn't.
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:37 PM ^
gutsy call.
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:37 PM ^
Man coaches normally way too risk averse but that was... really dumb.
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:52 PM ^
Don't think the fake was that dumb. Pretty unexpected move and also the 49ers got it on their 6 yard line even when it failed. Defense looks to have played well for Baltimore so high upside and relatively low downside.
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:39 PM ^
That was a hell of a crack the ball carrier took on the fake.
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:39 PM ^
And it's 4th and 4 or 5, that fake works.
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:41 PM ^
Hmm....might we get a Alex Smith 2nd half appearance?
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:41 PM ^
The third down draw down 11 would alomst make me break more of the things than a fake field goal
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:41 PM ^
Every time I see Barry Williams from the Ravens I think of this guy in the secondary...
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:42 PM ^
If they can't makes some points out of this I'm thinking they're looking back on this as why they lost.
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:45 PM ^
Sam: What was that play Mr. Goodell?
RG: Well, you see Sam, sometimes a team...
Sam: Why do you smell like wet band-aids?
RG: It's called scotch honey. Want a Wearther's?
Sam: Can I go home now?
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:45 PM ^
Offensive P.I. wow that was pretty awful.
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:49 PM ^
So... at least we don't have to stick around and watch half-time show....
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:49 PM ^
These boys ballin'.
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:49 PM ^
It would be a SF epic comeback.
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:49 PM ^
I see Gerg has landed a position on the 49ers defensive staff
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:50 PM ^
Flacco makes me very excited about Shane Morris. You just can't teach arm strength like that.
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:52 PM ^
"You be super conservative with the football" -- because if you just don't turn it over, the 18 point comeback when the other team gets the ball next is totally reasonable. Damn that was stupid thing to say Phil Simms
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:53 PM ^
Flacco's gonna get broke off in the offseason.
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:53 PM ^
But the 49ers look like they were ready to be had. Damn Patriots for not being ready to get Brady another Super Bowl.
Ravens were a funny case. They looked like the class of the AFC early, then the wheels kinda came off, then they fired Cam, and here they are.
Ira is going to be insufferable on WTKA this week.
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:59 PM ^
I think I may have heard once that Ira is from Maryland.
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:59 PM ^
The Ravens can't give it back in a minute.
Edit: because I don't want to do 3 in a row...
He didn't pass it Sims because he had no intent to do anything other than run with it.
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:58 PM ^
Gah... that hurts - gotta make a play if you want to win.
February 3rd, 2013 at 7:58 PM ^
A field goal ins't even close to good enough. If you have to just throw it away and go for it on fourth.
February 3rd, 2013 at 8:00 PM ^
You're down a TD and conversion. You have to get the points there and one up with something. Slow momentum.
February 3rd, 2013 at 8:07 PM ^
I think if I was a player in the Super Bowl id take a shower and get a nap in at halftime.
February 3rd, 2013 at 8:09 PM ^
Why Beyonce? Already disinterested
February 3rd, 2013 at 8:14 PM ^
You think Jay-Z said no men in your band.
February 3rd, 2013 at 8:15 PM ^
If you don't do any actual singing.
If you're just going to writhe around the stage might as well be stripping and make everyone happier.
February 3rd, 2013 at 8:16 PM ^
So, it's an interesting comparison when you look at the 1st half stats....
Baltimore has 14 1st downs to SanFrancisco's 10.
Baltimore has 54 rushing yards to San Francisco's 53. Indeed, the 49ers have actually gotten slightly more mileage out of the rushing game in terms of YPC in only one less attempt.
The time of possession literally is pretty close, with Baltimore having a slight edge - 15:30 to 14:30.
Baltimore is clearly in charge through the air - Baltimore has 187 yards passing to San Francisco's 129 yards. Flacco has gotten yards from seven different receivers.

Is frentic activity supposed to be entertainment? Is there something Beyonce does that's really great?
February 3rd, 2013 at 8:18 PM ^
Based on my female facebook friends apparently EVERYTHING. Also she is really hot.
February 3rd, 2013 at 8:21 PM ^
What performer(s) would get anywhere near this reaction from male fans?
February 3rd, 2013 at 8:22 PM ^
Rush??? Ok that's just me then....
February 3rd, 2013 at 8:21 PM ^
Nope....just the fact that she is Sean Carter's women and she does a lot of shaking.
February 3rd, 2013 at 8:22 PM ^
Only Jay-Z knows for sure.
February 3rd, 2013 at 8:59 PM ^
She is good in the sack.
February 3rd, 2013 at 8:19 PM ^
I guess we now know why she lip synced the national anthem.
February 3rd, 2013 at 8:19 PM ^
Style over substance
February 3rd, 2013 at 8:22 PM ^
I'm sleepy now
February 3rd, 2013 at 8:23 PM ^
Even under pressure, Flacco is completing passes. This is one game where the QB will really have earned the MVP.
February 3rd, 2013 at 8:24 PM ^
Had the TV on mute for the whole halftime show. Zero interest.
February 3rd, 2013 at 8:24 PM ^
You guys are killing her. I thought it was pretty good and I don't listen to pop music at all. It's all about performance and spectacle.
February 3rd, 2013 at 8:30 PM ^
And not singing, apparently
February 3rd, 2013 at 8:27 PM ^
Was it really necessary to quote Oprah up on the screen in that voice over? I mean that sentiment (we haven't forgotten about you, vets) is hardly an original one.
February 3rd, 2013 at 8:28 PM ^
Crisp like an apple. Brewed like an ale. They nailed my niche exactly...
