Super Bowl XLVII Thread

I guess somebody had to do it. Less than an hour until the Cake-Demanding Harbaughs take on the Demands-Yet-To-Be-Uttered Harbaughs. As Bo smiles from football Valhalla...

Commence.

If they can't makes some points out of this I'm thinking they're looking back on this as why they lost.

Sam: What was that play Mr. Goodell?

RG: Well, you see Sam, sometimes  a team...

Sam: Why do you smell like wet band-aids?

RG: It's called scotch honey. Want a Wearther's?

Sam: Can I go home now?

"You be super conservative with the football" -- because if you just don't turn it over, the 18 point comeback when the other team gets the ball next is totally reasonable.  Damn that was stupid thing to say Phil Simms

But the 49ers look like they were ready to be had. Damn Patriots for not being ready to get Brady another Super Bowl.

Ravens were a funny case. They looked like the class of the AFC early, then the wheels kinda came off, then they fired Cam, and here they are.

Ira is going to be insufferable on WTKA this week.

The Ravens can't give it back in a minute.

Edit: because I don't want to do 3 in a row...

He didn't pass it Sims because he had no intent to do anything other than run with it.

If you don't do any actual singing.

If you're just going to writhe around the stage might as well be stripping and make everyone happier.

So, it's an interesting comparison when you look at the 1st half  stats....

Baltimore has 14 1st downs to SanFrancisco's 10.

Baltimore has 54 rushing yards to San Francisco's 53. Indeed, the 49ers have actually gotten slightly more mileage out of the rushing game in terms of YPC in only one less attempt.

The time of possession literally is pretty close, with Baltimore having a slight edge - 15:30 to 14:30.

Baltimore is clearly in charge through the air - Baltimore has 187 yards passing to San Francisco's 129 yards. Flacco has gotten yards from seven different receivers.

Was it really necessary to quote Oprah up on the screen in that voice over?  I mean that sentiment (we haven't forgotten about you, vets) is hardly an original one.
