Visitors @ WMU game

Submitted by itself on

Did anyone see, or does anyone know if there were any recruits at the game? which ones?

Also, side question, did the "All In" towel make a strong showing at the game? I dont remember seeing at on TV or hearing the commentators mention it?

Dior Mathis was there. Gotta imagine the game made a strong impression on him.

Completely random, but a recruit that we're getting a visit from, Aramide Olaniyan, a top OLB recruit, is committed to Duke but the Blue Devils just lost to Richmond, a I-AA team. I'm praying that this helps us out a little. I still think we need a stud LB recruit for this class.

Dior, Devin (along with most of his Inkster buddies), Ricardo, Jeremy Jackson, Austin White, Ken Wilkins, Courtney Avery...some other random local 2010ers that won't ever get offered.

For 2011, DE/TE Chris Rock, DB Doran Grant, RB Justice Hayes, OL Anthony Zettel, DB Delonte Hollowell...those are the main guys. There were a few others, but those are the ones I remembered off the top of my head.

Since it seems things cooled off between him and UM during the summer, what if he wanted to commit now? Would RR accept that considering that Christian, Grimes, or maybe Knight might be better looking prospects at this point?

we already have two CB's in this class. I don't expect us to get another 3-4, despite the lack of depth right now. I think we're still going after LBs, Ss, maybe an OL, and I don't know about DEs. After the summer camps, Dior hasn't been a hot performer also, so I was just wondering if he is still wanted. The Other Brian answered that already.

As Tom said in the chat today...the perception that things fell off with Dior was just that, perception. When Dior visited for practice a couple weeks ago, the coaches made it clear they still wanted him.

And I think it's a good bet that one of (if not both at some point) Christian or Turner will end up at safety...plenty of room for corners.

Sam said the strong side corner would be of the taller type ie Christian, Turner. Dior's problem is his timetable for committing and with C. Avery and T. Talbott already committed for the weakside (shorter corner) Dior may have let his opportunity slip away. Plus the addition of 2011 commit Greg Brown may also fill Dior's position depending on how much he grows his last two years of HS.
Scout has Dior as a three and Rivals a low 4 star so why wait if you really think you know where you want to go.

I would wager a fair amount of money saying that Grimes will not be a package deal. "Package deals" rarely happen. Players talk about them all the time . . . and then it comes down to crunch time and they figure out that they better do what's best for themselves.

Michigan needs some bigger corners, especially if Greg Robinson plans to stick around. He likes bigger corners and doesn't want a bunch of midgets. If Mathis commits, Michigan won't stop recruiting people like Grimes, Christian, etc.

For the student section and people around the student section, they were handing out the Towels for free at Section 31. There were alot of towels given out. So there naturally was a showing of the towels in the student section.
