Craig Roh is Starting

Submitted by farside286 on
I was just looking over the traveling team roster (aka who stays in the hotel in AA before the game) with a current player and was informed that Craig Roh has taken the starting job away from Herron (in this past week of practice). I haven't seen this posted on the board or on the main page. I am sorry I don't have a link to another site. Oh and Michigan is bringing back the tradition of watching a movie as a team in the hotel on Friday nights. The movie is chosen by the captains for those who care. One last thing is Fitzgerald Toussaint is the biggest name on the not dressing list.

This is the guy that basically blamed the Pahokee kids and their theivery in the locker room for running off Wermers, people.

I buy this. I don't recall hearing a lot of specifics on herron during camp outside of his freakish athletic ability. perhaps against a pro-style offense, pressure on the QB is an absolute must...with graham seeing double teams on 1 side, maybe Roh has separated himself as the 2nd best outside pass rusher on the squad and they want to let him loose all day thinking he can win the 1-on-1 match-up. perhaps it's package specific and the package they want to start with utilizes whatever Roh does better than Brandon. my suspicions are based on little to no information, simply a guess.

it may not matter, maybe they both play with the guy playing best garnering the most PT as the game goes on. re: fitz, he is injured and was never expected to dress, iirc.

I think I would rather have Roh in there, with all his crab-like pass rushing skills, for this game. WE need to pressure the hell out of Hiller. If Roh is the better pass rusher, then play him.

I like how almost everyone in the thread except the OP was wrong. Not saying I penciled Roh in as the starter immediately on my depth chart, it's just funny in retrospect.
