We have the same number of 5 stars as Ohio, more 4 stars, and more commits overall, but they are ranked 2 spots above us.  LSU has more 5 stars, more 4 stars, and more commits, and is also rated below them.  This ranking system defies common sense.

it has to do with the top 20 players in the class.  They suggest that the number ranking (not the star ranking) adds up to a higher number for tsio's top 20 players than our top 20 players.  Thus, they have the higher ranking.  It prevents schools like Texas A&M from being number one by having so many recruits.  But I agree with you. Total bs.

We can hope that he plays amazing in his first year here, and then not spend two months at the end of the season praying he doesn't jump to the pros.

And he was doing so well. Time for MGoDetox.

It's not too late for recovery before he starts challenging people to fights, goes all political, and gets banned for the 3rd or 4th time,

That's what I get for missing most of an open thread because I had to watch the game on my iPad.

It's really nice to think that Taylor Lewan is coming back. Now if the rest of the line can block we might be scary good.

11W is always good for a laugh:

"Wish we had kept a spot for him."

"I can honestly say that I'm not worried about this at all. With Morris as his QB he is going to be seeing 8 in the box."

"D. Green will prove to be nothing more than a nice tune-up for our defenses before our Big Ten title games."

"This kid grew up routing for the Bucks, we passed on him and are now going to ruin the next 4yrs of his life."

That's gold Jerry!  GOLD!

How often do OSU fans take to ripping on a Michigan recruit who the Bucks weren't in the running to land in the first place? Somehow I doubt they'd be paying much attention or wasting their breath if this was some random 3 star RB from the Midwest. The fact that they're trying to convince themselves this is no big deal clearly means that this is a big deal. If Michigan beats OSU next year with the B1G championship on the line, this rivalry is going to blow through the stratosphere the way both schools are recruiting right now.

I saw some on the ESPN forums. A lot of buckeye fans are saying he is overrated and will be a bust...of course, I fully expected this. Then they are saying Ohio stopped recruiting him for a reason...yeah, assholes. That reason is because "Urbz" knew he would not be able to sway Green to Ohio, so they stopped wasting their time on him and let Derrick do his thing with his top three. Then they were attacking Shane Morris and saying how far he dropped in the rankings. They just don't get it and choose to ignore the facts, like how he had mono and that his senior year team wasn't nearly as good as his junior team. Fucking idiots.
