Recruit talks up fake ND visit
2014 RB recruit Stanley Williams made up a fake visit to Notre Dame this past weekend. Which begs the question does Notre Dame really exist anymore?
Manti "The Catfish" Teo update: At leat 3 minor league baseball teams are planning Manti Te'o fake girlfriend nights. The Dallas Stars had Lennay Kekua as a special guest at their home opener:

The Dallas Stars thing is kind of mean - but also very funny.

Those ND writers got baited by the obvious troll attempt.

I'm sure the Stars meant the empty chair and all, but the hand balled into a fist makes it a million times better.

Put some eyes on the hand and it could talk...

Fulfill all your wishes with her taco-flavored kisses!

Te'o is one of the drug dealers that are after her. Manti just made up the hoax to throw her off guard.

I'm ALMOST starting to feel bad for the kid.

If he had proved he was totally innocent, I would have only thought he was one of the dumbest and most gullible people alive, but I would have felt horrible for him. For him to do that, he needed to come clean and provide all the evidence like his phone records. Hiding behind Jeremy Schaap did not help him, and hiring a PR firm (probably not coincidentally the same one that Katie Couric uses) doesn't help the perception of him.
I don't think he was part of the hoax, but I think he helped perpetuate the myth by embellishing the story and lying about her to media to make the relationship more than it was. I really don't think those 8 hour phone calls happened every night.

We really need a TWIS for the Notre Dame-Manti Te'o fiasco. Brian. I'm looking at you.

Is there any possibility Williams went up to ND on his own dime, without fanfare and toured the campus/took in a game completely on the downlow?
And in other bleeding heart scenarios (which is completely unlike me), Is anyone else fearful that the backlash created by this story could push Manti T'eo over the edge, and possibly to the point of suicide? I don't know man, I just have a bad feeling about this whole thing and the ongoing jokes aren't going to be so funny if the guy ends up hurting himself.

He may be at risk of suicide because of the event not necessarily the joke being made about him. I almost certain that they have people watching him.

He must have loved the fake women Notre Dame provided
January 21st, 2013 at 11:04 PM ^
when their star players were provided with real women. Kim Dunbar wasn't imaginary to Derrick Mayes , Jarvis Edison, and several others ND teammates:

Well, he did say in the article that he doesn't have an offer yet from Notre Dame. Also that Notre Dame calls him almost every night, presumably to hear him breathe.
