I'm not that familar with him. Is he a 3, 4, or 5 star?
January 20th, 2013 at 7:04 PM ^
as a 4 star OT, 6'5" 240 lbs.

lbs to that 240 frame. I would be very happy with a commitment from him.

In his most recent interview, Doles stated he is now 255 pounds, so, he's trending in the right direction.

Well, Brady Hoke hasn't ruled out running for the presidency of Mexico, so I think we all know what this means...

Dooooles Bananas!!!

Seems a bit on the light side. Looks like a red-shirt year filled with eating and lifting, regardless of where he ends up.

He says he's about 255 now, but either way, he's more likely going to play center or guard in college. I really doubt he'll be a tackle. Recruiting sites always list guys at tackle because that's what kids want to play (since it's the premier position for publicity and money).

How many o-line do we take this year? Should we take another center prospect? What's the breakdown looking like for how many we need at each position for the 2014 class?
I'd love to get M. Cole, A. Bars, J. Jones, and then a center prospect like maybe Doles? Does he really fit the center position?
and then this is to already go along with D.Ward
Sounds like a solid class

Well, we're losing two tackles (Lewan, Schofield) to graduation, and we'll probably lose one or two more guys to attrition, just because that's what happens. So I'd guess we'll need 3 or 4.
With Ward "committed," that probably means another tackle and a couple interior guys. We don't necessarily NEED another center, because some of these guard types can play G/C. But it wouldn't be a bad idea to have another guy ready to snap the ball. Right now it's Miller, Bars, Kugler, and Burzynski (in no particular order).

Thanks Magnus, you think Doles would be a good pick up then? It seems like were in on many higher talents, and to go with him now seems a little odd. If he were to commit soon

I haven't seen any junior highlights of Doles, so I'm not sure. I wasn't extremely impressed with his sophomore film, but he was only 240 or so; it's difficult to tell what a 240-pounder will do when you know that he'll never set foot on the field until he's at least 285-290. He looked more like a Rodriguez-type offensive lineman than a Hoke-style guy, but I'm sort of reserving judgment until I see his 2012 tape.

He was listed as 6'5" 240 by scout and 6'5" 236 (listed as a DE) by rivals

How long before we line up 7 O Linemen in a Jumbo Jumbo formation and run over opposing teams until the forfeit in the third quarter?

Quality family, quality kid. I've heard him described by people that know him as a freak of nature. This is the kind of kid you want in the Michigan program so lets hope he commits.
