"Robert was not only an exceptional actor, he was an essential part of the film and theater community in Baltimore,” David Simon, creator of ‘The Wire’ said in an email Friday.  “He could have gone to New York or Los Angeles and commanded a lot more work, but he loved the city as his home and chose to remain here working.  He understood so much about his craft that it was no surprise at all that we would go to him to coach our young actors in season four.  He was the conduit through which they internalized their remarkable performances."

I also like how the article mentions that, because of his work on "The Wire", Chew really  could have gone to New York or Los Angeles and embarked on a full-time career in television, but he decided to remain local and continue with teaching and mentoring young actors in Baltimore. That's awesome, in my opinion, and the acting community and the city of Baltimore have lost someone rather special sadly. RIP, Proposition Joe.

in no way I'm I trying to make light of his passing, but we just watched the season five episode last night where Prop Joe gets killed before hearing about this. CSB, but kinda creepy. RIP.

Your business is vulnerable to disaster, and may not be adequately prepared. A solid disaster recovery plan can mean the difference between your company’s survival or closing its doors. Even a few days of down time can mean millions of dollars lost.
